Bart vs. Australia - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Bart and Lisa have a bathroom products race in which Lisa wins. Bart thinks that he could have won if the products were going clockwise, but soon learns about the Coriolis Effect, where water turns counter-clockwise in the northern hemisphere, and clockwise in the southern hemisphere. While making many international calls to countries in the southern hemisphere, he just can't get a straight answer from any of them, and the phone bill is huge. He makes a collect call to Australia, which involves tricking an Australian boy into accepting it. After finding out that the water runs clockwise there, he leaves the phone on hold throughout the day, and eventually, the Australian boy's father gets a very hefty phone bill of $900, and the father makes a call to Bart, and eventually finds out it was a prank. He then complains about this to the Parliament of Australia, and Bart gets indicted for fraud. He must go down to Australia and make a public apology. He and the Simpsons go to Australia, and Bart brings a bullfrog with him, which goes off into the wild. After making his public apology, Bart finds out about an additional punishment, which involves a "kick in the bum", with a very large boot. He and Homer make a run for it, which then gets Marge and Lisa running too, and back to their embassy. The ambassador and the prime minister came to an agreement, which was a smaller form of the booting, this time with a regular shoe. While waiting to get kicked, Bart pulls down his shorts which reveal the words, "Don't Tread On Me" on himself, further aggravating the Aussies. While making a getaway to their helicopter, the prime minister and many other Aussies throw things at them while the bullfrogs produced by the one Bart brought in destroy their crops. The Simpsons have a good laugh about that, while a koala hangs on to the end of the helicopter to return home with the Simpsons.
