Couch: The couch is a street bench in Japan, and everyone is a famous anime character: Homer is Ultraman, Marge is Jun (Princess) from Battle of the Planets, Lisa is Usagi Tsukino (Serena in the English dub) from the Sailor Moon series, Bart is Astro Boy and Maggie is Pikachu from Pokémon.

Homer: Listen Lenny, I know I was a pretty bad Secret Santa, so I wanted to make it up to you.
Lenny: Wow, a photo cube with pictures of us!
Homer: And I filed down the all the sharp corners. See? Your eye is completely safe! (starts poking Lenny in the eye with the cube)
Lenny: Oh wow, it just stings a little.

Comic Book Guy: Ooh!
(Falls on the ice and rips pants)
Comic Book Guy: Activate cloaking device!
(rips sweatshirt while trying to cover the other rip)
Comic Book Guy: Oh I am so depressed, engage candy bar, thank you.

Nelson: Someone snuck in and took our presents! Do you think it was papa?
Mrs. Muntz: I wouldn't put it past him. He stole my gold tooth the night he left.
Nelson: He didn't leave… he went to the store. And when he comes back I'll wave those pop tarts right in your face!

This episode's title is of course based on the line 'Tis the season to be jolly, from the Christmas song, “Deck the Halls”
