  Episode Summary
Marge's rage against the new toll road system somehow leads to the discovery of a frozen mailman and his 40-year-old mail. The letters are returned to the rightful recipients, including one to Grandpa Simpson's deceased wife, revealing a secret love affair and the real father of her baby, Homer.

Confused and emotional, Homer finds Mason Fairbanks, his wealthy and much improved paternal dad, and happily establishes a father-son relationship with him while rejecting his surrogate father of 40 years. But soon Homer realizes that a DNA test doesn't necessarily tell who his true father is

  Episode Quotes
Marge: I've never noticed that sign before. And I'm a very good noticer!

Carl: Hey, if she's not paying I'm not paying!
Lenny: And if you're not paying I'm not paying.
Carl: Of course you not. We're in the same car.
Lenny: Oh, I just wanted us to start talking again.

Quimby: No one is using the toll booth. (He looks through the spyglass at the sleeping guard) Dammit! We need those 75 cents to depython the town fountain.

Quimby: Get those cheap-skates through that toll by any means necessary.
Wiggum: Got it! No survivors. (He cocks his shot gun)
Quimby: No shooting!
Wiggum: But it's already cocked.
Quimby: All right, shoot it in the fire place.

Sideshow Mel: My tires has been severely damaged. The prophecy has been fulfilled! (He points his finger to the sign that says: "Do not back up. Severe tire damage.")

Marge: Lisa! I'm not sure that letter is age appropriate reading. Why can't the government edit our mail like other countries?!

  Episode Goofs
Mona Simpson wasn’t living at the Simpson’s house at the time the old letter was sent, so the letter shouldn't have been delivered there in the first place.
