This is probably my all-time favorite show. I can remember all the way back to my years in 1st grade when I started watching this. It was one of themost popular shows at the time, and I will never forget it.
When I was younger, I didn't really know the difference between good and bad, so this show didn't really have much of an impact on me, but as I grew, I understood it more and more and lost all of my innocence because of it.
The characters are very enjoyable. This is the typical middle-class family with a stereotypical view on humans. Homer is my favorite of all, his buffoonery never ceases to amaze me. Even when he isn't doing something stupid, you just have to laugh.
Though I think the show's earliest episodes are of poor quality, it was able to make a comeback through its later ones. They had a very nice storyline, and the best part?: the animation wasn't done by computers. This is one thing of the 90s that I truly loved.
Watching The Simpsons for me is like eating a sandwich. The first few seasons were plain, the middle were outstanding, but... something happened in these last few seasons. The animation? The plots? The writers? They're all contributing to the downfall of this show.
This show does deserve to be somewhere near the top of everyone's animation list, or at least on the top animation list. Although the recent seasons haven't been doing so well, it will stil remain popular with seasons 3-8. It should've stopped there, but what're you going to do? You have to go with the opinions of other people. "The Simpsons is the best." The people have spoken.
I will not be affected by the outcome of the movie. It's a great show for all ages, but there's a time when

Overall, the best animated show I've ever seen.
