|
A Russian Colonel, Vasily Zhukov, comes to America to ask for United States participation in a joint space venture with Russia. Meanwhile, an earthquake hits near an Arctic island spacecraft installation, trapping several scientists -- one of them being Zhukov's fiancée, Irina Leonova -- and activates a self-destruct weapon in the process. Together, Steve and Zhukov head to the Arctic to rescue the entombed scientists, but have to work quickly in order to disarm the potentially devastating armed nuclear weapon.
