Danny Lasswell, a 14-year-old boy, is in search of a new fuel for his toy rocket. At school he mixes tiny amounts of two chemicals and provokes a gigantic explosion. OSI scientists are interested in learning the formula of this absolutely new energy source. An ambitious building contractor is also behind the formula. Danny thereby puts himself in the highest danger. Steve is assigned to protect the young genius.
