The scene in which Paulie and Christopher take the Russian into the forest to be killed is a reference to the 1990 film Miller's Crossing which follows the lives to two rival gangs.

Denny's is a breakfast restaurant. Tony Sirico, who plays Paulie, starred in several commercials for Denny's.
