Hocus-Pocus and Frisby - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
In the small town of Pitchville Flats, the locals are gathered at Frisby's General Store and the owner, Somerset Frisby, spends his time playing the harmonica (badly) and telling tall tales, much to the irritation of his customers. They're interrupted when a car pulls up outside. Frisby regales them with the tale of how he developed the rear-engine automobile. As he gets them gas, they agree that he's the one they're looking for, the man with all the degrees and inventions. Frisby boasts of predicting the weather and they say they'll be seeing him soon. After they leave, Frisby goes back inside his store and closes up. He hears a man suggest he walk down the road so he can have an adventure. Frisby can't find anyone and eventually agrees to come along as soon as he picks things up. The voice tells him not to bother and lifts him into the air and drops him down in front of a flying saucer.

Frisby boasts of designing a flying saucer for the U.S. government and the hatch opens in. The two men from the car and a number of others are waiting for him. Frisby figures it's a movie set but they identify themselves as aliens, restrain him, and close the hatch. They interrogate him about all of his achievements and he boasts of having 38 degrees, then says he has to leave. The head alien says that Frisby will be staying there: they were sent to find and capture an advanced human specimen. Frisby finally explains that he's a liar but they don't understand the concept. They plan to take him back to their planet for their "collection" of aliens. Frisby punches the alien in the jaw, breaking his mask and revealing the alien face beneath.

Frisby passed out and wakes up in a chamber with five minutes until departure. He plays his harmonica to relax and the aliens collapse in pain. Frisby runs for it as the aliens retreat, figuring he has a death-weapon, and they depart before he can warn the others. Frisby comes back to his store to find everyone waiting for him for a surprise birthday party. They give him a present: a trophy cup for World's Greatest Liar. Frisby tries to convince them that there were aliens and he drove them off with his harmonica, but that's one story that no one will accept.
