An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge - Recap

A Confederate spy is to be hanged, but as the hatch door opens the rope breaks and drops him in a creek. He looks around confused and then begins his escape. Bullets whiz by him as he continues to run from the soldiers. He comes upon a plantation, complete with his home and wife. He walks up to his wife and pushes her on a swing. They embrace,but then he stiffens up and suddenly finds himself back at the bridge, hanging.
