Taro, a Japanese gardener and Fenton, a WWII veteran are trapped together in an attic. Taro spies a samurai sword in which Fenton claims to have taken from a dead soldier. Taro tells him that his father was a hero of Pearl Harbor, but in actuality was a traitor who signaled the enemy where to launch their bombs. Taro determines that Fenton had killed a surrendering soldier and the stole his sword from him. Fenton admits he is guilty, making Taro want to kill him. Fenton: Were you one of the pilots?
