<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Vince Hansen is at home trying to deal with a credit card company after he's been laid off. He hangs up and the doorbell rings. Outside are a man and women dressed in black. They address him by name and introduces themselves as Muriel and Michael. They tell him that he's been chosen for a whole new life. Vince doesn't believe them but they insist that they are there to help. He says he needs a job and a girlfriend and tells them to leave. They hand him a white package as a gift and he reluctantly takes it as they leave. Inside is a DVD. He plays it and another man in a black suit appears, talking about how Vince is chosen and describing the most private details of his life, including his breakup with girlfriend Lea.

Later, Vince shares a beer with his wheelchair-bound neighbor, "Speed" Moorcock. As they drink, Vince sees Michael and Muriel and Speed admits they visited his house as well. He figures they're evangelists and says that he never watched the DVD. When Vince wonders how they knew so much about him, Speed says that it's just a matter of the Internet and background checks but Vince isn't so sure.

Vince applies for a job but discovers that now there's no work for him. As Vince gets a cup of coffee, he sees Michael and Muriel talking to someone else. A man comes over and says that they may look normal, but they're actually aliens. Vince tries to walk away but the man says they have to stop them. He tells the man to get lost

Vince goes into the bar for a drink as the news talks about the UN meeting for an emergency meeting. The bartender, Gordo, tells him to get out because he's barred from there. Vince asks for Leah and she come over to tell him to get lost. He wonders how she can go along with her life like he never existed and Leah explains that she wants to make something of her night. She says he needs to grow up but when Vince refuses to back up, Gordo slugs him and throws him out. Michael and Muriel are outside and ask if he's watched the DVD. He runs away, telling them to leave him alone.

Vince returns home and cleans himself up. As he looks outside, he sees Michael wheeling Speed into his house. Vince runs to investigate and there's a burst of light. He goes inside and finds the wheelchair, empty, and char marks on the floor. Inside Speed's DVD player is another "gift" DVD. Vince calls the police and a man from Homeland Security arrives and asks if Speed had any visitors. The agent, Richard Schultz, warns that Vince should be careful if anyone visits him and says there's a pattern developing. He refuses to answer when Vince asks if aliens are involved.

Vince goes back to the bar to get Leah and she greets him with a kiss. He tries to explain what happened and then notices that the bar is closed. Leah embraces him and says she wants to be with him forever. She asks Vince to watch the DVD that Michael and Muriel left him, and tells him he's been chosen. Vince refuses but she says that she was told to take him to them. Panicking, Vince runs away and buys a shotgun. He barricade himself in his home and listens as the radio talks about the mounting nuclear war. Looking outside, Vince sees Michael and Muriel visiting homes and more flashes of light. He tries to call Schultz but doesn't get an answer. Michael and Muriel come to the door and knock, and Vince fires through the door at Michael. Muriel tells him he shouldn't have done that. Vince goes outside and sees that Speed, Lea, and all of the others have disappeared. Michael's wound heals and he says that it's clear Vince wasn't really chosen. Speed and Lea wish him well and everyone departs in a flash of light as Michael and Muriel transform into angels.

Air raid sirens go off and Vince looks up as a nuclear missile detonates nearby. As another missile goes off, Vince can only stare in horror as the world is destroyed around him.
