Recap

At a coffee shop, Ally Warner and her boyfriend Devin come in to collect drinks. A couple of customers are reading a parody tabloid article and say it isn’t funny. Ally, who wrote the article, defends it. Her boyfriend takes off and Ally sits down. She hears a man at a nearby booth telling a woman that everything will be okay. The man refuses any payment and she leaves, thanking him profusely. Ally asks the man what he does and he explains that he shows people the path they’re meant to travel on, and he was born with the gift. Ally is suspicious but the man insists there’s no catch. She asks him to tell her path and he takes her hands. He concentrates and then tells her that she’s unhappy at work. She asks if she will get a job offer and he tells her an opportunity awaits, but she needs to seek it out. Unimpressed, Ally walks away...
