Fair Warning - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
A woman, Tina Bishop, is at her flower store talking to her boyfriend Ryan. As they make up bouquets and talk about their six-month anniversary, Gwen comes in to tell them to give it a break. Tina and Ryan share one last kiss before he leaves for band practice. Tina goes back to work and discovers a man, George Straitton, waiting for her. She only knows him by his name tag but George says that they met at a laundromat and she loaned him a cup of detergent. He insists it meant something and that he knows she loves him like he loves her. Clearly uncomfortable, Tina tries to get him out but George tells her that she has to stop him from killing her. She goes to the phone and starts calling the police, but when she turns back George has disappeared.

Later, Tina tells Gwen what happened. The police can’t do anything but Gwen thinks the shirt Tina describes looks familiar. They check stores until they find George at a pet store and call the police. However, he denies ever having met Tina or knowing anything about her or a laundromat. The detective, Henley, questions him but admits there’s nothing they can do until he threatens her again. Later, Gwen leaves for the night but not before admitting she has her doubts about Tina’s story and doesn’t think George looks that dangerous.

A few minutes later, George appears in the shop despite the fact the doors are locked. He accuses her of betraying him with Ryan, and knows everything that Tina and her boyfriend have done in the last few months. George insists that Ryan doesn’t treat her right. Tina tries to get him to drop the matter but George says that the only way she can save herself is to dump Ryan. Tina tells George that she can’t. She backs up and runs into Ryan. Ryan goes in to investigate but doesn’t find anyone. He calls the pet store and discovers George is there. Ryan leaves to talk to George and warn him off, after telling Tina to go home and wait for him.

As Tina walks out to her car, she discovers George is waiting for her. Again he insists that he’s trying to save her life but is angry that she sent Ryan. George warns that he won’t be able to stop himself and she has to leave the city and go somewhere that he can’t find her. Tina gets in her car and calls Detective Henley. Henley has her come to the station and shows her a video tape revealing that Ryan attacked George at the pet store at the exact same time that George confronted her in the parking lot.

The next day, Tina talks to Ryan and wonders why he started the fight. She walks away from him but Ryan follows and wonders if she’s telling the truth. Tina refuses to drop the matter and Ryan says she’ll have to handle it on her own. She goes to her apartment and talks to Gwen about how George could have been in two places at once when he doesn’t have a twin and only Tina has seen George act erratically. Gwen suggests that Tina see a psychiatrist and gives her the card of a Dr Gupta.

Tina goes to the pet store to confront an injured George, insisting that she’ll prove he’s stalking her. George insists that she’s the one who is nuts but Tina demands that she leaves him alone. He tells her that if she comes near her again, he’ll call the police. Tina goes back to the flower store and is briefly startled by a man who looks like George. Alone, she calls Gupta and leaves a message to make an appointment. She admits in the message that she’s having trouble telling what’s real and what isn’t. Tina leaves her number and then goes out to her car. As she starts the car, she breaks into tears for a moment, and then pulls out of the lot… unaware that a car is following her.

Tina arrives home and discovers that an uninjured George is waiting for her. He insists that he tried to prevent it and Tina tells him that she doesn’t understand why he first threatens her and then tries to warn her. George says that it’s tearing him apart and he can’t stop it. Tina runs for the door only to discover the injured George waiting outside. The uninjured George says there’s only so much a conscience can do. The injured George steps into his conscience, merging. George breaks through the door and tries to gag her with duct tape. Tina grabs a pair of shears and stabs him in the side.

Later, the police take George away. When he wonders how she knew, she says that his conscience gave him away.
