Team Challenges - Recap

The guys do another training session. Dana says nobody trains harder than these guys. Stephan Bonner and Diego have a confrontation about Diego eating food and not being considerate. Even though they are opposite weight classes, Diego says he can take him down. Willa Ford announces the days agenda:

A team challenge which will include a long obstacle around Lake Maede. The losing team will have one of their fighters eliminated (this would change in later seasons). They are to carry their coaches in a recliner over the course. The light heavyweights are up for elimination. Team Liddell wins. Randy ponders who he’ll send home. The obvious weak link is Jason Thacker. Willa gives him a chance to speak. Randy makes his decision. It’s Jason. Chris Leben have a laugh over the decision. Chris can’t imagine why Lodune or anyone else would give a damn about a person who had no business being in the competition. Chris spends another night of drinking up till late hours. Teammates Mike Swick and Chris get into an argument over Chris’s win over him. Day Eight arrives and Team Couture does their training session. Randy addresses the Leben situation. Chris makes the promise that he won’t talk any more nonsen and will stop drinking. Lodune his own drinking problem. He says he has no job, no home outside of this competition. The team challenge this week is pole haul. They are to drag telephone poles and take them to be sawed, then put it back together again. Then carry it to the finish line. This week the Middleweights are up for elimination. Team Liddell once again seems to breeze through the challenge as they reach the finish line first. Leben knows he’ll get called out so he has to come with a great reason to stay on the show. Randy, however, surprises everybody by sending Chris Sanford home.
