Clips are shown from the last episode.with Manny Gamburyan beating Matt Wiman. Suddenly, a verbal fight erupts with Karo Parisyan and Nate Diaz. The fight seems playful at first but Karo starts to slap around Nate Diaz almost provoking him into a real fight.
Jens Pulver sees what’s going on and thinks Karo is stepping over the line. The two are separated. However, the two exchange words again and Nate voices his displeasure with Karo. The two are separated once again.
Dana White is outside of the country in England and calls the house. White says he has an idea for the teams members to fight each other within the team. Pulver thinks it’s a terrible idea but doesn’t tell Dana. Dana then reveals that he was merely joking.
The fight this weeks is Joe Lauzon vs. Manny as the semifinals begin. In the promos, Manny says he will go after any opening. Lauzon in his promos is confident he will win saing he has size on his side. Pulver says that Manny has a great chance of winning and he sets up a training session with Manny and Nate Diaz. As Lauzon trains, he acknowledges that Manny is tough while he is on top and says he will try to take him down.
Finally, the two do their weigh-ins and the two are amazingly the same weight. Joe is a hundred and fifty-six pounds while Manny is one hundred and fifty-five. Dana arrives back at the house and decides to have dinner with the guys. He then spoils them by saying he has gifts for them.
Onwards to the real fight in Round 1 Manny and Lauzon both go down on the mat. Manny tries a choke but Lauzon with great stuff picks up Manny and then applies a choke of his own. The two jock for position then Manny goes for a leg submission. Lauzon tries to counter by grabbing Manny’s arm. Manny tries another choke with 1:08 but Lauzon is once again able to come up out of him. However, Manny then catches Lauzon with a series of strikes. The two continue battling for position as the round ends.
In Round 2, Manny Gamburyan seems to get the edge on Lauzon. Manny connects with a leg kick that connects. Lauzon grabs Manny in a headlock which Manny breaks. Then Manny with an surge starts to strike back at Lauzon. Lauzon tries the headlock again but this time Manny falls on him. On the mat, Lauzon looks too tired to do anything while Manny looks to be the aggressor. He manages to land several blows. Manny dominates the next minute or two until the referee breaks it up. With about thirty seconds left in desperation, Lauzon tries another choke and this time Manny looks to be in trouble. However, Manny is able to hang on for the win.
After the fight, Dana gives credit to Manny and even says he might have underestimated him in the fight.
