However, Frank Mir comments that Jason is really struggling with making the cut.The situation gets worse as Brandon Garner points out how he is cramping up and his muscles and ribs were locking up. White points out that Jason is the brother of UFC fighter Clay Guida. Jason Guida is thirty years old and 205 pounds. Guida says how at this age if he doesn't make the cut he might as well get a real job. The official weigh-ins begin for fighters. Krzysztof Soszynski, Lightweight,.says that coming into a show that one isn't prepared is fighter's fault.Jason's situation have gotten worse. A doctor comes in to examine and he says that Guida is dehydrating himself. Guida says he isn't Gabe Rudiger from and says he isn't going to walk out of the house without fighting. White says there will be sixteen fights and this will be coaching evaluations.
The first fight shown is Mike Stewart vs. Krzysztof Soszynski. This fight turns out to be laughable as Krzysztof beats Mike within the first ten seconds of the fight. He catches Mike with a hard left and a series of rights until Mike drops to the mat. He doesn't even attempt any offense then the ref ends the fight. Moving on the next fight is Fernando Bernstein vs. Dave Kaplan (two lightweights). The two fighters exchange kicks then start boxing with each other. Kaplan pushes Fernando to the cage but Fernando is able to hold his position. The two exchange punches with Fernando trying to back away from being hit. Kaplan dominates the next minute with him getting on top of Fernando and reigning down blows. Just like Mike Stewart, Fernando Bernstein puts up no defense or offense once he gets down on the mat. Fernando then taps to Kaplan's choke. White calls Fernando a "butterknife" not a machete as his nickname alluded to.
The next fight is Phillipe Nover (guy who fainted) vs. Joe Duarte.Duarte chuckles that he will make Nover faint again. Nover comes up with a sharp high kick to Duarte's face. The two grapple toward the cage. Nover gives Duarte kneelifts to the body which stun Duarte. The two grapple more and exchange knees. The referee finally breaks them when it seems they're just tangling on the cage. On the next exchange, Duarte catches Nover with a big right hand dropping Nover to the mat. Duarte rains down elbows as he now is on top of Nover. Nover battles out of the hold Duarte has by punching in the face while Duarte tries to apply a submission.
The horn sounds and the fighters being round two.On the opening Duarte tries a right hand while Nover tries a kick but neither of them get an advantage.Duarte tries to throw Nover to the ground but he ends up dragging himself down. Nover takes advantage and reigns down punches on him. Nover is now getting his second wind and begins using Duarte as a punching bag. You can now physically see Duarte bleeding from the nose and gasping for air.Eventually the ref ends the fight in favor of Phillipe.
White shows how surprised he was that Nover given the fact that he fainted earlier.Nogueira tells White that Nover hits like a heavyweight. The next fight is Jules Bruchez vs. Eric Magee. From the get go Eric goes for a take down but Jules grabs in a headlock stopping his momentum. The two fighters grapple exchanging positions with one guy trying to choke the other.Eventually Jules wins the exchange using legs to trap Eric while applying a choke to make him tap out. The next fight is Vinny Malgaheas vs.Lance Evans, brother of UFC fighter Rashad Evans. Mir says that "both these kids are good".This fight appears to be condense as it appears edited. The two fighters exchange blows then Evans says that he caught a kick to the ribs. The ref asks Evans if he still wants to fight but Evans tells him no. The winner is Vinny Malgahaes.
Next fight is Antwain Britt vs. Ryan Jimmo. Again this fight is edited and doesn't appear in it's entirety. The fighters grapple on the cage Britt takes down Ryan and punches like crazy. Britt wins the fight. The next fight is Brian McLaughlin vs. Brandon Garner once again we see an edited version of this fight. The highlights shown Brian dominating this fight until round two. Brandon then takes advantage but is eliminated from fight when he catches Brian with an illegal kick to the chin. White explains that Brian was still on the ground when he delivered which is illegal. The hit doesn't appear intentional. The next fight is Junie Browning vs. Jose Aguilar
This fight appears in its entirety. Both guys come strong grappling toward the cage. Jose goes for the quick win by trying an arm submission. Junie powers out but then tries to hammer Jose while he is on the ground. However, Jose grabs his left preventing to do much damage. However, Junie still has right hand and punches Jose in the face. The two stand up again Jose tries to grab Junie heads for a close shot but Junie delivers uppercuts stopping his chance.Junie appears to have better strategy by launching body shots on Jose while Jose is trying to go for submissions. Aguilar goes for the ankle but once again does not follow it through with a successful submission. By this point has been down on the mat more than Junie attempting unsuccessful arm and leg holds. With fourty-four seconds left in the fight, Junie delivers blow after blow and elbow after elbow. Aguilar has virtually no offense and appears defeated. The horn sounds with the winner easily spotted Junie Browning. Aguilar is asked to fight but he declines giving the fight to Junie. Mir calls what Browning did was "a good display of athletic ability". He says that he hopes that he can get Browning for his team if Nogueira doesn't pick him first. A preview is shown of the next episode and show ends.
