Junie Brown says he was unimpressed with Krzysztof's victory because Kyle had no Jiu-Jitsu whatsoever.White brings up to speed with the fact that Team Mir has four guys in the semi-finals and Team Nogueira has three. He also tells us that the last Lightweight fight in the preliminary round will be George Roop vs. John Polakowski. During a training session, Roop hyperextends his finger. He can't make a fist. Phillipe Nover says he doesn't know if John has the killer instinct to win. Nogueira says he has the heart of a champion. Mir says he should use everything on the left side to attack John and avoid damage to his right hand. John says the fight will be over as soon as he hits Roop with a single punch. The Tale of The Tape shows both fighters to be evenly match with a slight advantage in the MMA record by Roop. Round 1 begins with Roop doing as Mir says using everything but his right hand. Roop catches John with left and right kicks.Roop then takes John down However, George isn' t left handed and thus his left shots don't have much effect. Still George maintains position on Polakowski for the bulk of the first round. John is able to swap positions with George in the final minute and makes a last attempt to salvage the round.

In Round 2 the fight turns out to be a slug fest with both guys wailing away at each other. Both George and John have basically tried to knock each other out with kicks and strikes. John is able to connect with a couple of shots.However, the last two minutes are decively in George's favor. He has taken John down with a couple of knees and is raining down elbows. Roop applies a rear naked choke. John doesn't put up much of an effort to break the hold possibly from exhaustion. John is literally saved by the horn signaling the end of Round 2.

Mir is happy with Roop's performance as he says that he used both his legs to cover up his bad right hand and John did nothing with both his legs.

Surprisingly, though both fighters traded both rounds the win goes to George Roop. Even Dana White admits that the fight should have gone In Round 3.and calls this a case of bad judging.With the preliminary fights now over, Frank and Antonio start discussing the semi-final fights. Guys are brought in to get their choices for their fights. .Krzysztof surprises Frank by telling him that he wants to fight Ryan Bader. Mir believes that a tougher fight for him would have been with Vinny Malgaheas. Junie and Efrain say they both want to fight each other much to the delight of Dana. The end of the show ends with Dana announcing the upcoming fights.
