Dana White comes to Liverpool England to greet the sixteen fighters hoping to be the next Ultimate Fighter. Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson, fighting in UFC 93, come to observe the fights.
However, as White says only eight fighters will be chosen to be part of Team UK. Thus this episode serves elimination fights to see which fighter be part of Bisping's team.
Gary Kelly, an English lightweight fighter is interviewed. Bisping says he expects big things from this fighter. Kelly will be fighting another English fighter in Andre Winner.
In Round 1 both fighters come out swinging with neither wanting to budge. At 3:15 Winner lands a massive knee to Kelly's face knocking him out. The ref stops the fight as Winner is the Winner. Kelly still doesn't know what hit him as he gets medical attention. Later on he admits he lost and says he got caught with a knee.
The next fight is Jeff Lawson vs. James Bryan fighting in black trunks.
This fight is a slug fest. Jeff wrestles James down on the mat.
Jeff having James at guard uses the opportunity to punch away at Bryan. Bryan spends about a minute still on his back. He tries to twirl his body around but Jeff doesn't allow enough room for Bryan to do anything. Then at the same exact time as previous fight at 3:15 Jeff applies, out of nowhere, an arm submission for the win. Jeff calls the fight an easy for him.
The next fight of the Englishmen is a fight of the Welterweights with Che Mills vs. James Wilks.(black trunks)
In Round 1, the fighters once again come out swinging with Mills coming out on top. Possibly try to wrestle Mills, Wilks lands on the mat. Che wails at him landing several punches to the face.
Wilks though shows his intelligence though in the next few seconds. As Che wails away at him, his feet remain exposed, so James grabs one of his legs and applies and ankle submission for the win.
The next eliminatiion fight is Martin Stapleton vs. Dan James (blue trunks) in a battle of Lightweights. In Round 1, both fighters circle each other before wrestling on the mat. Martin goes for the rear naked choke but Dan is able to defend himself. However, he leaves himself for several strikes by Martin Dan turns around facing Martin leaving him wide open for several more hits. Dan then turns out to avoid the strikes leaving himself open for another rear naked choke attempt by Martin. Eventually Dan submits as Martin wins.
The next fight is Lightweight A.J. Wenn vs. Ross Pearson (blue trunks). The first round is nothing but a long shoving match with both guys grappling on the Octagon cage. In Round 2, Pearson finally starts the offense coming out striking and eventually coming out with a hard punch knocking down Wenn. Wenn is still on the mat so Pearson wails away until the ref stops the fight.
The next fight is a Welterweight fight as Tommy Maguire takes on Nick Osipczak. Nick throws a couple of wild kicks but nothing connects. Tommy grapples Nick on the ground but again neither fighter seems to get an edge. The two stand up but Tommy has Nick in a headlock allowing him to kick him in the face. Tommy gets down on the mat with the headlock still trying to applying a choke. Nick is able to get out of it and punches Tommy in the ribs. The two stand up to strike again. Tommy gets backs off to the cage as Nick lands a couple of knees to him. The two strike again and this Tommy gets caught by Nick. Nick grabs him and gives him a couple of hard knees to the face. Nick pours on the punishment as once again Tommy backs away to the cage leaving him open for many shots. Sensing victory, Nick continues the attack and lands one giant knee knocking down Tommy. The ref stops the fight seeing the punishment. Henderson remarks that there wasn't a lot of power behind those knees but clearly there was.
Next fight is Alex Reid vs. Dean Amasinger in a fight of the Welterweights (black trunks). In Round 1, Dean gets Alex down on the mat. He wails away at him while Alex tries a triangle choke. This time around the fight is edited while Bisping offers his own commentary on the fight as does Dana White. Dana says Dean is nervous and doesn't have a lot of experience. However, Dean proves Dana wrong by picking up Alex and slamming like a bag of potatoes. Like the first round, Dean has Alex on the ground. Once again, Alex goes for a triangle but is unsuccessful. Dean even begins talking trash to Alex which Bisping likes. He calls him a showman.
Despite the fact that the fight appears to be dominated by Dean, the fight goes to Round 3. Again the fight is edited down. It appears that Dean is ahead on points able to land several strikes on Alex. The winner of the fight is then announched and it's Dean.
The next fight is a Welterweight fight with James Bateman vs. David Faulkner. Faulker and James spend Round 1 spend grappling on the cage. The two eventually land on the mat exchanging submissions. Faulkner is quicker than James and is able to apply an ankle submission for the win.
This is the last elimination fight. The fighters are welcomed to Team Uk by Bisping and White as episode ends.
