Tuesday, September 25 marks two much-awaited events for the fans of The Unit, the season 3 premiere and the release of the season 2 DVD. For those who have missed the latest season's episodes and for those who have enjoyed the first season DVD, the new release will hopefully satisfy expectations as Fox Home Entertainment jam-packed the set with even more bonus features.

Created by David Mamet, The Unit is an action-drama series that centers on a top-secret Special Forces team and their missions abroad, as well as the impact of their careers on their personal lives, wives and girlfriends. Based on show producer Eric Haney's book, Inside Delta Force, it stars Dennis Haysbert (Sergeant Major Jonas Blane), Regina Taylor (Molly Blane), Scott Foley (Staff Sergeant Bob Brown), Audrey Marie Anderson (Kim Brown), Max Martini (Master Sergeant Mack Gerhardt), and Abby Brammell (Tiffy Gerhardt), among others.


On The Unit's sophomore season, the squad travels to Pakistan to help an undercover operative who's on a mission to thwart terrorists. Action and drama surrounds the 23 episodes of season 2, which is compacted in the 6-disc set.

Compared to the show's initial DVD release, the season 2 DVD has more add-ons, including 10 commentary tracks and several behind the scenes featurettes.
