Episode Notes

This episode features perhaps the most unusual undercover assignment in series history when Agent Youngfellow does duty as a flagpole sitting clown.

Marc Lawrence, who seemingly made a career out of playing mobsters, would return in The Genna Brothers and Blues for a Gone Goose.

Locations: Chicago, Kansas City, Woodland, IL

Episode Quotes

Rienzi: Paper says it's hot in Florida.
Renaldo: Make sure it don't get too hot here.

Narrator: Wherever the take was big, the crime syndicate was there.

Renaldo: Everytime something happens in Chicago they come running to Luigi.

Renaldo: They got nothing on Luigi. I'm 100% legit.

Episode Goofs

It's stated in the closing narration that former Capone lieutenant Luigi Renaldo was imporisoned at Alcatraz. In real life, this would not have been the case because the government took special care to send former associates of Al Capone to other prisons.

Analysis

A shocking scene where a young child is run over by a car and Agent Youngfellow's undercover stint as a clown are the highlights of this Season One entry. The climactic scene where the Renaldo mob is rounded up is also well worth watching.
