  Episode Notes
The characters of Blackie and Lily Dallas are based upon George "Machine Gun" Kelly and his wife Kathryn who drew life sentences for the kidnapping of Oklahoma City oilman Charles Urschel in 1933. Kelly would later become friends with Al Capone when the two were serving their prison sentences together at Alcatraz. Kathryn Kelly would be paroled in the late 1950's and disappear into obscurity while her husband died in his cell at Leavenworth Prison of a heart attack.

Ed Nelson would return in Gang War and Line of Fire.

  Episode Quotes
Lilly:(to Mrs. Murphy) Why don't you crawl inside a bottle and cork it?

Lilly: (to Marty) I hope I didn't let the air out of your tires.

Blackie: Who you goin' out with, Lilly?
Lilly: It's Charlie Chaplin. He wants to put me in pictures.

Blackie: I'm footin' the bills. Lilly's out.
Mrs. Murphy: Why not? She'd probably be glad to get rid of us.

Lilly: (to Marty) We need a bank job like we need to grow tails.

  Analysis
At times it appears that Ed Nelson is trying out for the role of The Joker on Batman with that silly grin he wears on his face for most of the episode. Throw in the fact that Norma Crane's performance is way too over the top and it lowers things somewhat. We do, however, have a solid script and an excellent performance from Larry Parks.
