Recap

After the death of Judge Foley and the destruction of the Underground Court, represenatives of the big syndicate, then in control of over 50% of the nation's crime, met at a roadhouse outside of Chicago. They were meeting to vote on whether Nero Rankin, owner of the roadhouse and Judge Foley's designated successor, would be their new chairman. The five voting members were: Murray Brigger (Southwest), Lou Hyndorf (East Coast), Huey Barker (Midwest), Pat Polofski (Detroit), and Cy Brenner (New Orleans)...

Episode Notes
This episode functions as a sequel of sorts to The Underground Court as several events that occured in that episode are mentioned in this one.

Joanna Moore is the mother of actress Tatum O'Neal.

Brooke Byron would return in Season Three's The Ginnie Littlesmith Story.

Location: Chicago

Episode Quotes
Rankin: I ain't some old horse gonna eat grass the rest of my life.

Sylvia: (about Rankin) The old fool's gonna get himself killed.

Sylvia: I haven't had much to do with cops before.
Ness: If you stick us we bleed.

Ness: You the manager of this club?
Madame Amy: How clever of you to guess.

Rankin: (to the council) I clean dirt like you outta my fingernails every day.

Rankin: Now you'll see how class operates.

Episode Goofs
When the Untouchables are driving over to the hotel for their climactic showdown with the syndicate bosses, Agent Rossman is not inside the car but when they arrive at the hotel parking garage he comes charging out with the rest of them.

Though John Duke's character is called Lefty, he appears to be right handed.

Analysis
It probably would have been better had John Dehner and Will Kuluva switched roles. Kuluva was more effective in sympathetic parts than as a lead heavy.
