Eliot Ness's living quarters are seen in this episode only it's a bachelor apartment not a house. Since the episode takes place in late 1929 and early 1930 we're probably supposed to assume that he hasn't gotten married yet. | Location: Chicago |

Grunther: You're not in the jungle anymore, Mr. Ness. You're in the clearing. | Kalmisky: (to Joey) When we deal with our own kind we know where we stand. They stay in line. They got to. Get my meaning? | Kalmiski: I like you, Joey. You talk my language.
Joey: Money talks everybody's language. | Hobson: (about Joey) He's a nice guy.
Ness: Yeah but he drinks strong coffee. | Sitkin: (about the letter) He'd kill me if he found out I didn't have it. And you'd tell him. | Sitkin: (to Joey)Thanks for the ride on the Ferris wheel. The view was great. |

Downfall features a bit of a change of pace for the Untouchables. This time they're not battling a gangster wearing a fedora and a pin-striped suit. Their main foe in this episode is a respected corporate executive who's made a deal with the Mob in order to keep his company afloat. Though he saves his company, he finds himself drowning in a cesspool of moral corruption. Well worth watching especially for Steven Hill's performance. |
