December 12, 1929. Gangster Arnie Kurtz watches a hit he ordered on a gangland rival then returns to his hotel to establish his alibi. Kurtz's wife, Stella, drops in on her brother, Benno Fisk, who owns a pawnshop. Stella has a job for him. Deliver a payment of $100K to an East Coast gangster in Washington D.C. for her husband. Since Benno will be gone for a few days, Stella agrees to care for his two pet birds. This episode and its companion episode, Jake Dance, served as pilots for a possible spin-off series starring the Dr. Garr and Dr. Gifford characters. The proposed series was to have been entitled White Knights.
John Gabriel played the Professor in the pilot for Gilligan's Island but was replaced by Russell Johnson when the show was picked up as a regular series by CBS.
