This episode marked the swan song of Bruce Gordon as Frank Nitti. All in all, Gordon appeared on 27 episodes of the show.

Cliff Osmond, as Nitti henchman Augie, commits one of the vilest acts of uncouthness in show history when he runs his finger across a cake and eats the icing.

Episode Quotes

Nitti: Two million bucks! There ain't been that much dough on this table since we bought the South Side.

Konig: My customers are climbing the wall.
Nitti: Let 'em climb. The exercise will do 'em good.

Nitti: You bums don't know when you're well off. Insteada bellyachin' we oughta be givin' Ness a medal.

Whitey: I hear you're a big man in Chicago now. I hear Nitti don't make a move without you.
Bass: I'm about to make one without him.

Yang: I'm sorry to have an inconvenience, Mr. Ness. You have been very thorough.
Ness: So have you.

Analysis

The rarity of rarities: a great Season Four episode. Also Bruce Gordon's swan song as Frank Nitti. When we last see "the Enforcer" he is being led away into custody but we learn from the narration that he beats the rap. You can't keep a good gangster down.
