| | Just like Season One, the second season of The Untouchables began with the classic Rusty Heller Story which also served to introduce Paul Picerni into the cast as the show's second banana. Picerni would remain with the series for the remainder of its run. Season Two also paralled Season One in that it followed a great premiere episode with some medicore ones before it finally hit its stride. Episode number 7, which marked the return of Bruce Gordon as Frank Nitti, kicked the show into high gear. Other fine episodes such as the two-part The Big Train, The Underground Court, The Tommy Karpeles Story, The Seventh Vote, and Murder Under Glass followed in due course. If there was a major downer to Season Two it's the fact that unlike Season One it ended with a flat episode--The 90 Proof Dame. | |
