The Venture Bros.: Showdown at Cremation Creek, Part I

Just as Dr. Girlfriend and the Monarch apparently get back together, the Monarch’s henchmen finally but unintentionally trap Brock Samson and then the rest of Team Venture as a gift for the Monarch’s sudden good fortune. The Monarch finally has Team Venture in his clutches at the one time he doesn't want them. As the Monarch releases Team Venture, Team Venture agrees to help the Monarch out for his upcoming ‘special’ event, but will the Phantom Limb let the Monarch get away with it? Or will he fight for what he thinks is his? The stage is set for a deadly, ultimate showdown between The Monarch and Phantom Limb for the hand of Dr. Girlfriend.

Episode Notes
Their was no opening nor ending credits during this episode, all credits where shown during the beginning scenes. Although their was a brief 5 second scene change where the usual skull at the opening credits shows Team Ventures faces flash by. This happened after the first few scene took place

Dr. Girlfriend was mentioned by the Monarch for the first time as Dr. Fiance

Episode Goofs
While the Order of the Triad was fighting Torrid, Dr. Orpheus, The Alchemist, and Jefferson Twilight forma pyramid magic trick consisting of all three members using their magic in a formation. On a previous episode Jefferson Twilight states that he has no supernatural powers of his own (other then supposedly being a half Vampire).

Cultural References
Nien Nunb, a Star Wars alien character was brought to life from one of the members of the order of the Triad's card collection.

Princess Tinnyfeet is a parody of a native american woman and of the Land O'Lakes maiden, and a parody in name of "Sacheen Littlefeather".

Monarch henchmen #21: Once this Cowardly Lion got himself some courage from the Wizard of Booze.

This of course is a spoof to the Wizard of Oz, where the Cowardly Lion was searching for courage, and got it from the Wizard near the end of the movie.

Monarch henchmen #21 is filled of his usual merchandise. Hank mentions something about him wanting to wear the He-man mask (head). And Monarch henchmen #21 mentions some stuff about the micronaut

Monarch henchmen #21 mentions that Hank looks like an evil version of himself when Hank put on the fake beard. This is a reference to a classic Star Trek episode wear the Enterprise crew encounter evil universe versions of themselves who have grown beards. The type of fake beard Hank is wearing is the same trim as the one shown in the Star Trek episode

Truckules, a guest at the wedding reception, is supervillain with the appearance of being half Truck and half Hercules.

As Dr. Girlfriend walks down the isle with David Bowie, Dr. Venture rambles on and the Monarch asks Dr. Venture is he was reciting “Jessie’s Girl”.

The Alchemist refers to Dr. Orpheus’ cape pin as his “Montel Williams Neck Pin”.

Hank's black furry butterfly henchman suit is a shot at the show's pilot episode's attire for the Monarch's Henchmen.

Dr. Venture finally remembers and notices that Dr. Girlfriend is actually 'Charlene', from the time Dr. Venture was transformed into a giant caterpillar by her. This was from the episode Midlife Chrysalis. Also mini flashback still clips were shown of that episode.

We see “Lady Au Par” Murderous moppets again
