Home Is Where The Hate Is - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The episode starts off with a paperboy riding his bicycle and working his route in a seemingly quiet little town. When we finally see the boy’s face it turns out it’s a robot. After we see his face, he rides toward a sign that says: “Welcome to Malice: a nice place to have." The paper-bot throws a paper at the Monarch’s new home / Phantom Limb’s formal mansion. The paper he threw hits one of the Monarch’s henchmen. The camera pans up and we see smoke coming from a window inside the house. Dr. Girlfriend asks the Monarch what he’s doing. The Monarch, who is burning several items in a bed that he had lit on fire, asks her sarcastically what she thinks he’s doing. He explains to her that he doesn’t want to sleep on the bed the Phantom Limb used to “pleasure” her in, and that he’s burning the bed and all the object that were his. The Monarch throws a portrait of the Phantom Limb’s relatives into the burning bed. He then looks at a trophy and a book that use to belong to the Phantom Limb. The Monarch looks surprised and thinks that they were the Phantom Limb’s “Little "League trophy” and his self-help books. Dr. Girlfriend tells him that he doesn’t need to burn them, and that he could just as easily sell them. She calls his actions insane. A henchman walks into the room holding a box full of the Phantom Limb’s old stuff, he gives the box to the Monarch. The Monarch grabs a book from the box and tells Dr. Girlfriend that what’s insane is that she slept with a man who had read a book, the one he’s holding, called “The Secret." He asks her if she’d like to have the book. The Monarch throws the book in the burning bed and tells her that her ex-boyfriend was pathetic, and asks her, sarcastically in a low voice, to keep what he just said a “secret," referencing the book he just burned. Dr. Girlfriend tells him that she can’t believe that he could still be upset over the Phantom Limb, and asks him what’s wrong. The Monarch tells her that he’s upset over his new life, and that it’s the new house, the neighborhood. He tells her that he can’t believe that he’s living in a town named “Malice." Dr. Girlfriend tells him that it’s an excellent community and that it has the “lowest property tax” in the district, and that it has three supermarkets in it as well. The Monarch tells her that it’s a gated community for super-villains, and that it’s like “Boca Raton in Halloween” because of all the masked villains living in it. Dr. Girlfriend tells him that it’s not so bad and that one of the Monarch’s friends “Manta Claws” lives close by. The Monarch tells her that he used to like him but until he found out he didn’t have any real powers. Dr. Girlfriend then tells him that he knows that the Monarch used to like Sgt. Hatred, and that he also lives nearby. The Monarch tells her that he only use to listen to him to distract him enough so that his henchmen could sneak around and steal some of the Sgt’s machinery. Dr. Girlfriend tells him that Sgt. Hatred is having a party that evening, and the Sergeant had invited them. She tells him that she thinks they should go together. The Monarch tells her that he doesn’t really want to go, and asks her what the Sergeant has to celebrate.

At the Venture compound, we see an ominous shadow approaching. Hank and Dean are outside looking at the sky. A blood-red cloud is nearing. A laser beam cutting through the ground near the frightened brothers spells an “H." Dean, as he’s holding his brother, tells Hank that if a man that comes off from the “burning clouds” he tells him not to be afraid and that it just “Jesus." A voice is heard coming from the clouds calling out for Dr. Venture, telling him that it’s Sgt. Hatred, his new arch enemy. As we hear the voice, a large floating tank comes off from the clouds and lands on the front lawn. The tank opens and an army of soldiers comes immediately off of it, surrounding Hank and Dean with guns pointing at their heads. Another man comes off from the Tank smoking a cigar, it's Sgt. Hatred. He cheerfully asks Hank and Dean if their father is home.

[OPENING CREDITS]

Back at the Venture compound, we see all of Sgt. Hatred’s army-men going back inside of their floating tank, badly bruised and hurt. Inside Dr. Venture’s house, we see Sgt. Hatred, Brock, and Dr. Venture conversing. Brock is breathing deeply and his clothes are full of blood. Sgt. Hatred compliments Dr. Venture by telling him that it’s an honor that he’s going to be working with him. Dr. Venture tells him thanks, and asks him to forgive him that Brock had to beat up all of his men. Sgt. Hatred tells Dr. Venture that it was his fault because he shouldn’t come there at the moment he had just received his new “marching orders” from the Guild. He thought that he'd just drop by to give Dr. Venture the “old howdy-do” and give him and his family a greeting basket. Dr. Venture, who is holding Sgt. Hatred’s greeting basket, asks him what’s inside. Sgt, Hatred tells him that it full of “okra," and that he and his wife grow a lot of it. He also tells Dr. Venture that he can’t stand the taste of okra. Dr. Venture asks the Sergeant if he’s not there to kill him. Sgt Hatred tells him that he’s not there to kill him “yet," but he’s just there for a formal “meet-and-greet." Sgt. Hatred then walks onto one of Dr. Venture’s automated walkway hallways. Brock and Dr. Venture follow him. Sgt. Hatred explains to Dr. Venture that he’s been in the arching business for a long time now, and that he’s learned that “arching” doesn’t have to be a bad experience for either of them. As they go through the walkway, Sgt. Hatred changed the subject a bit after he looks outside the window and notices the green grass Dr. Venture has outside on his lawn. He asks Dr. Venture what kind of grass it. Brock responds by telling him that it’s his own special blend of “blue ridge and creeping red." Dr. Venture changes the subject back to arching. He asks the Sergeant if he’s going to be ripping through his walls in the middle of the night and chasing him and his guests around or other things that his previous arch did to him. Sgt. Hatred tells Dr. Venture that he won’t be doing anything like that, and that that is amateur stuff. Dr. Venture chuckles in relief and tells him that what Sgt Hared was saying sounds “sane’ compared to what his previous arch-enemy did.

Back inside the Monarch’s new home, the Monarch is shown hauling an old mattress through the house while Dr. Girlfriend is talking to one of the Monarch’s henchman. Dr, Girlfriend tells the henchman that the box the henchman was carrying says ”Linings” and that it was misspelled. She then tells the henchman that the box should go to upstairs in the hall closet. Number 21 comes in and asks the Monarch if he could sign something for him. And that it’s actually a get-well card for Number 24, since Number 24 got “knifed” by Dr. Girlfriend’s Moppets (as shown on the ending the season premiere). The Monarch asks him who Number 24 was again. Number 21 can’t believe that the Monarch doesn’t know which one is Number 24. Number 21 tells him that it’s the henchman that’s always next to him when he talks. As the Monarch’s signs it he seemingly remembers who he’s talking about and tells Number 21 that he thinks it’s the guy who talks like Ray Romano, and that he likes him. The Monarch starts walking away with his mattress. Number 21 then tells the Monarch that he spotted a room upstairs that he would like to have. Before Number 21 finishes his request, the Monarch interrupts him by telling everyone inside the room that they aren’t going to sleep in the new house. Every henchman in the room immediately drops what they were doing, shocked to discover that they aren’t going to stay inside the new house. Dr. Girlfriend explains to them that what the Monarch was trying to say was that the Monarch and she had discussed it and they agreed that they would keep their two homes separate. Number 21 asks them why they aren’t going to let them live in the new house. Dr. Girlfriend tells him that she and the Monarch are going to live in it. Before she could fully explain, Number 21 asks her which room is his then. Dr. Girlfriend asks the Monarch to help him explain to them about the situation. The Monarch commands his henchmen to go back to the cocoon fortress. After he commands the henchmen, the Monarch tells Dr. Girlfriend that they don’t need to discuss this with the henchmen. The Monarch then asks Dr. Girlfriend about what happened to Number 24 and the Moppets. Dr. Girlfriend explains to him that her Moppets, Tim-Tom and Kevin, had came to her crying, telling her that the Monarch’s henchman had been teasing them, and that Number 24 had started a fight with them. Dr. Girlfriend asks the Monarch if he could believe Number 24 would do something like that to them. The Monarch responds by saying that he doesn’t believe that he would.

Back inside the Venture compound, Sgt. Hatred interviews Dr. Venture inside of his lab. Sgt. Hatred is filling out a questionnaire-test over what Dr Venture’s reactions to the questions he is asking him are. Sgt. Hatred asks Dr. Venture if he has any allergies, if he’s epileptic, if he takes any prescription drugs of any kind. To which Dr. Venture replies “no” to every question Sgt. Hatred had asked. Sgt. Hatred then asks Dr. Venture for forgiveness because he has to ask him everything on the list. Sgt. Hatred then starts asking Dr. Venture other questions about his feelings toward specific menaces he’s asking him. Dr. Venture becomes inpatient and asks the Sergeant how long the test is going to take. Sgt. Hatred writes down Dr. Venture’s responses, to which Dr. Venture becomes annoyed with. Sgt. Hatred rights down that Dr. Venture gets annoyed easily.

Back inside the Monarch’s and Dr. Girlfriend’s new home, Dr. Girlfriend and the Monarch are making their new bed inside their room. Dr. Girlfriend tells the Monarch that she thinks that her Moppets wouldn’t fit in with the Monarch’s henchmen inside the cocoon, because they are a delicate pair. The Monarch caves in to Dr. Girlfriend’s request but tells her that they can only stay in the new house until after they get them new “Monarch” uniforms, and when they do they have to move to the cocoon fortress. Dr. Girlfriend tells the Monarch thanks, and calls the Moppets in to tell them the news. When the Moppets come into the room, they are carrying one of their beds with them. The Monarch angrily asks the Moppets what they are doing. Tim-Tom tells him that he’s carrying his bed inside the room. The Monarch tells them that there are many other rooms inside the new house, and that they should pick one of the other ones instead.

Back outside the Venture compound, Sgt. Hatred is about to leave. He tells Dr. Venture that he’s going to have a party later in the night, and that he still needs to pick up a few things. Sgt. Hatred and Dr. Venture then shake hands. Sgt. Hatred tells Dr. Venture again that it’s a pleasure to be working with him and he thinks that they’re going to have a real good time together. After the Sergeant tells this to Dr. Venture, he takes his gun from his holster and shoots Dr. Venture in the gut. Dr. Venture falls to the ground, Sgt Hatred stars laughing, and an angry Brock approaches Sgt. Hatred to beat him up. Sgt. Hatred gives Brock his gun, and tells him that he shot Dr. Venture with “rubber bullets." Sgt. Hatred starts to back off a bit. He tells Brock that he was just breaking the ice a bit. Sgt. Hatred then notices that Dr. Venture is bleeding badly from his so-called prank. He tells Brock that the bullets don’t usually break the skin. Sgt. Hatred then calls someone inside his floating tank and tells that person about Dr. Venture’s condition and that they'd better switch to Nerf weapons.

Inside the Monarch’s and Dr. Girlfriend’s new home, the Monarch is sitting down inside his new living room reading a book. We see the book having a few people written inside of it, like “Professor Flowers,” “Dr. Tara Quymn,” and “Dr. Dugong." Dr. Girlfriend walks into the room, tells Dr. Venture she’ll be back soon, and that she’s going to Sgt. Hatred’s party. Dr. Girlfriend asks the Monarch if he’s sure he doesn’t want to go along with her. The Monarch tells her that he’s sure, and that he’s just going to read the new Guild “Face book” and possibly pick a new “Arch” enemy. Dr. Girlfriend, who is happy that the Monarch is coming out of his slump, tells him that when he’s back to arching everything will soon be just like it was before. Before Dr. Girlfriend leaves, the Monarch tells her to tell Sgt. Hatred to “die” for him. Dr. Girlfriend leaves, but looks disappointed at the Monarch’s request.

The Monarch looks back into his book, reads “Professor Flower’s” name out loud, and calls him a douche. He turns the pages of the book back to the first page; we see another man by the name of “Dr. Quentin Ball," the Monarch starts imagining that this other man in the picture is actually Dr. Venture. This hallucinatory picture of Dr. Venture starts talking back to him. The Monarch tells the picture of Dr. Venture “hello." The picture responds back and tells him “hello," and that he didn’t expect to see him here. The Monarch then realizes that he’s actually hearing the real voice of Dr. Venture. He turns back and sees him talking to Dr. Girlfriend at the front door. Dr. Venture, who accidentally came to the wrong house, asks Dr. Girlfriend if the number on the house is #5. She tells him that it is, but then she realizes that he’s looking for Sgt. Hatred’s house. Dr. Venture, now accompanied by Brock, Hank and Dean, tells Dr. Girlfriend that he was looking for Sgt. Hatred, but then tells her that he found something even better (referring to her). Dr. Girlfriend tells him that he thinks it was a typo on Dr. Venture’s invitation, and that Sgt. Hatred lives next door to them. She tells them that the Sergeant’s house has a big “H” on the front lawn. Dr. Girlfriend walks back inside her new house and Dr. Venture starts walking away. Dr. Venture complains to Brock that he didn’t even want to go to the party in the first place. Brock tells him that it’s one of the things that he has to do, and that its one of the things that came with the life he had chosen. Dr. Venture tells Brock that he never chose to be arched by anyone, and that it was his father who dumped the responsibility on him when he had died. As Dr. Venture and Brock walk away we see the Monarch spying on them from his living room window. When Dr. Venture, Brock, Hank and Dean are all gone, the Monarch calls Dr. Girlfriend and tells her to wait up, so he can go with her to Sgt. Hatred’s party.

Inside Sgt. Hatred’s house we see many super-villains attending his party. Dr. Venture, Brock, Hank and Dean walk in. Sgt. Hatred is surprised to seeing them attend his party. Dr. Venture asks him that he thought he had invited them to his event. Sgt. Hatred tells him that he did but only Dr. Venture and Brock, and not Hank and Dean. He asks Dr. Venture if they are over 18. Dean and Hank respond to him that they are not, and that they are “16 going on 17." Sgt. Hatred tells Dr. Venture that he has to get them out of there. He continues to explain that he had troubles before he met his wife, and continues to explain to him that he isn’t allowed within fifty feet of a minor because of it. Sgt. Hatred tells him he’s sorry because he should have mentioned this back inside Dr. Venture estate, because he’s required by law to tell him these details of his life. Dr. Venture tells him that it’s all right and tells everyone to get back inside the car. Dr. Venture blames his boys for ruining his night. The Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend walk in. The Monarch stops Dr. Venture and tells him not to go because the party had just started. Sgt. Hatred tells his guests that the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend had arrived. The Monarch asks Dr. Venture what he needs and asks him if he needs a baby sitter for Hank and Dean. The Monarch tells Dr. Venture that he has room for them to stay at his cocoon fortress, and that his henchmen have a lot of time on their hands and could look over them if he wants. Brock asks Dr. Venture if he really thinks it a good idea to let his former arch take care of his boys. Dr. Venture tells Brock to not to worry and that the Monarch is harmless now. Dr. Venture then notices a shrimp platter inside Sgt. Hatred’s house, and goes toward it. As Dr. Venture walks toward the shrimp cocktail platter, Sgt. Hatred puts a nametag to him. Sgt. Hatred then passes nametags to the Monarch, Dr. Girlfriend and to Brock as well. He tells them to stick the nametags to their backs. He then tells the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend that they should know all of his guests. As Dr. Girlfriend puts on the Monarch’s nametag on his back, the Monarch looks at Dr. Venture and complains about how Dr. Venture is eating all the cocktail shrimp. Dr. Girlfriend tells him that it’s a party and that he shouldn’t make a fuss about it.

Inside the Monarch’s cocoon fortress, Number 21 is showing Hank and Dean their room for the night. Number 21 tells them that since Number 24 is out sick for the night, they can sleep in his room. As Number 21 leaves, he tells them good night, and shuts off the light. As Number 21 attempt to close the door, Hank tells him to wait, and turns the light back on. Hank tells Number 21 that it’s too early, and that it’s only 8 PM. Number 21 fakes yawning, and tells Hank that he’s tired. Hank tells Number 21 to not try to trick them like that, and that they know better. Number 21 tells them that he isn’t in the mood to baby sit them for the night, and that he has too many problems on his hands at the moment. Dean asks him if he had girl problems. Number 21 tells him that he wishes that were the case. Hank then asks him if it something to do with “Hemorrhoids." The door to their room closes.

Back inside Sgt. Hatred’s party, Sgt. Hatred tells his guests that it’s time for fun, and that they’re going to play a game. He tells his guests that they have a name of a famous person on their name tags located on their backs. He continues to explain that everyone who sees the name tag will treat the person as if they were the person printed on the nametag. Sgt. Hatred then tells them that the first person to guess anyone’s fake persona correctly gets a prize. He tells everyone to start but everyone just stares back at him. He tells them again, but in a more menacing way. Everyone starts to play. A villainess with white hair tells Dr. Girlfriend that “she’s married to a powerful man." Dr. Girlfriend is trying to guess, and asks if she’s “Missus Hulk Hogan." The lady with white hair tells her that she guessed wrong, and describes to her another aspect of who Dr. Girlfriend is supposed to be. The lady with white hair tells her that “she’s famous for wearing a pink suite and pillbox hat." Dr. Girlfriend can only think of herself after that description.

The Monarch is teamed up with Dr. Venture for this game. The Monarch tells Dr. Venture that he’s a miserable failure and lives entirely off of his father’s name and fortune. Dr. Venture guesses that he’s “George Bush." The Monarch tells him that he isn’t, and continues to give out more expressions of his [true] character. The Monarch tells him that “he’s never hated someone as much as him." Dr. Venture tries to guess again, he tells him that he thinks he’s Hitler, but asks himself if Hitler had a famous father. The Monarch tells him that he’s worse than Hitler and continues to describe Dr. Venture’s persona. The Monarch tells Dr. Venture that he’s a wash-up has-been and that he will never amount to anything, also that he might as well drink a bottle of poison. Dr. Venture guesses that he’s “Socrates’ son."

Brock is teamed up with an older man wearing a tux. The older man, playing the game, tells Brock that he loved him in the movie “Fire, Walk with Me." Brock, disinterested in the game, removes his name tag from his back and tells everyone who his character was, which was “Harry Dean Stanton." Sgt. Hatred yells out that they have a new winner.

Dr. Girlfriend takes off her nametag and reads off it. It says “Jacqueline Onassis." Dr. Girlfriend asks herself who this lady was. Dr. Venture is then shown taking off his nametag. He reads off it and it says, “Mariah Carey." He tells everyone that he would have gotten that earlier if he had the chance.

Back inside the Monarch’s cocoon fortress, we see Number 21 going inside the cocoon’s medical ward to visit Number 24. Number 24 is lying down on his back on a stretcher while getting a blood transfusion. Number 21 asks Number 24 how he’s doing. Number 24 tells him sarcastically that he feels like “a dwarf stuck a knife inside of him." He asks Number 21 if he brought the magazines he had asked him before. Number 21 tells him that he didn’t, and that he brought something better. He tells him that he brought someone to cheer him up. Number 24 thinks it’s someone else, but Number 21 opens the door and its Dean wearing a doctor costume with a clown nose (ala Patch Adams). Dean says hello to Number 24, and asks him to cheer up. Number 21 tells them that he’s going leave, and tells Number 24 to have fun. Hank tells Number 21 that he thinks it’s a good idea because, like Dean said, “smiles are contagious," and so he’s officially making this area quarantined. Number 24 tells Number 21, who is peaking outside the door, that he hates him. Number 21 closes the door completely and leaves. Number 21 smiles and turns around, and we see Hank was with him in the corridor. They both start to laugh and run off into the hallway together.

Inside Sgt. Hatred’s house, Sgt Hatred and the Monarch walk down into one of Sgt. Hatred basement rooms. Sgt. Hared explains to the Monarch that this room is where his troops create all his cutting edge gear. The Monarch tells him that he has similar stuff back at his cocoon, but his stuff is yellow. Sgt. Hatred, showing off his gadgets like a gun that shoots deadly darts. The Monarch tells him that he has those as well. Sgt. Hatred then shows him a grappling gun disguised as a commlink. But again, the Monarch tells him that he has those as well. Sgt. Hatred then shows the Monarch a new invention his troops came up with recently, he tells him that they are a micro explosive. He explains to him how they work. Sgt. Hatred tells him that the only thing he needs to do with those explosives is to stick them into his target and set the timer. Sgt. Hatred then tells him that the explosion delivers a blast of pin point energy wherever he wants it to set off. The Monarch seems impressed by this invention, and tells the Sergeant that he’s sure that his men are working on something similar back inside his cocoon. Sgt. Hatred tells him that he’s sure that they are. He continues to say that he had met the Monarch’s henchmen before and tells him that they are an impressive group of people. The Monarch, in a low voice, tells him that they are the best. Sgt. Hatred tells the Monarch that he has to show him his “battle room," and that he’s going to love it. Sgt. Hatred walks away towards his battle room. The Monarch stays a bit where the Sergeant was showing off his latest invention. The Monarch then steals Sgt. Hatred’s prototype micro explosive. Sgt. Hatred calls the Monarch to hurry up, and the Monarch tells him that he’s right behind him.

Inside the Monarch’s new house, inside his living room, we see Dr. Girlfriend's murderous Moppets sitting in a couch watching television. Both Moppets, as they watch a movie and eat popcorn, discuss the method by which they are going to murder the Monarch and possibly Dr. Girlfriend and all their henchmen. Tim-Tom talks to Kevin about leaving the gas on at night while they are all sleeping. Kevin tells Tim-Tom that he wanted to hear them scream. Tim-Tom tells him that this way they won’t raise suspicion. We then see Hank looking at them through a window, both Moppets don’t realize they're being watched. Hank tells Number 21, who is outside with him, that they’re just like babies and can’t believe that he’s afraid of them. Number 21 tells Hank to get back because they might see him. Hank tells him that he thought they had claws, as Number 21 had supposedly explained to him. Hank complains that he got him all worked up over nothing. Number 21 tells Hank to get back again, and pulls him aside. Number 21 admits that he exaggerated a little, but tells him that they stabbed Number 24. He continues to tell Hank that they are like “little swearing spider-monkeys with knives." Hank walks back to see what the Moppets are doing. He notices that the Moppets are watching woman naked through the television. He thinks it’s an X-rated movie, though he calls it a “no-no movie." Number 21 corrects him and tells him that it’s not a porno but one of his DVD movies (“Nell”) that the Moppets stole from his collection. Hank then looks back at what the Moppets are watching, then tells Number 21 that he thinks he saw “Schindler’s dingus." Number 21 asks Hank to quiet down again. Inside the living room, Tim-Tom tells Kevin that the movie sucks. Kevin gets annoyed with the movie, and then uses the remote controller to change the channel. When he does this, he accidentally switches to the security camera. The image shown through the camera is of Hank and Number 21 behind them. Number 21 remarks that he doesn’t remember this part of the movie and asks himself if it’s the “director’s cut” version of it. Number 21 then finally realizes that they’re actually being watched through a security camera. Hank pushes him out of the way, but the Moppets have already realized that they're being watched. Kevin tells Tim-Tom that he saw Number 21. Tim-Tom tells him that he counted two people, and asks who the other one could be. Kevin asks him sarcastically whom he thinks he was with. Tim-Tom tells Kevin that he thought Number 24 was still in sickbay, and that since it appears he’s not, that they must be “losing their touch." Kevin takes out a knife and tells Tim-Tom that they should then get it (their “touch”) back.

Back inside Sgt. Hatred’s party, Dr. Girlfriend and Dr. Venture are both sitting on a couch together talking about something. Dr. Girlfriend tells Dr. Venture that he doesn’t need to apologize. Dr. Venture is seemingly apologizing over allegedly sleeping with her in "Midlife Chrysalis" when she was undercover. Dr. Venture tells her that he thought that the “magic that they had shared” together that night was something bigger than the both of them. Dr. Girlfriend tells him that nothing happened. Dr. Venture tells her that if something indeed really did happen it only happened because he didn’t know who she was at the time. Dr. Girlfriend tells him again that nothing happened. Dr. Venture tells her that many women had hit on him the past because of his fame. Dr. Girlfriend again tells him that “nothing happened." Dr. Venture continues to say that women could be attracted to him because of his manly pheromones. Dr. Girlfriend once again tells him that “nothing happened." Dr. Venture then does a fan motion with his arm throwing his so-called pheromones toward her and asks her if she feels something.

Back inside the cocoon fortress, inside the sickbay, Number 24 and Dean are in the room together, and Dean is sitting on the side of Number 24’s stretcher-bed. Number 24 is telling Dean his life’s story. He’s specifically telling him about the time his dad remarried his ex-girlfriend. Number 24 tells him that he believes it's “almost incest." Dean tells them that it sounds almost like a “Greek myth." Just then, Number 21 and Hank come barging in the sickbay bay door. Number 21 tells Number 24 and to Dean to hide them quickly. We then hear the Moppets calling out for Number 21 and Number 24 to come out and show themselves. Kevin is then shown kicking into Number 24’s room. Kevin tells Tim-Tom that they aren’t in there. Tim-Tom calls out to them and tells them and that they just want to talk to them. Back inside the sickbay, Number 24 asks Number 21 and Hank why they want him, and what they did to make them want them.

Inside Sgt. Hatred's house Brock is shown sitting down in a couch watching TV and drinking a beer. Dr. Venture walks in and asks him what he’s doing. Brock tells him that he’s watching a PBS special about giant crossbows. Dr. Venture asks him why. Brock responds by telling him that he thinks it’s cool. Dr. Venture corrects his question and asks Brock why he isn’t protecting him, because they are in a place filled with thieves and because he thinks it’s more dangerous. Brock tells him that it’s a “bad party” and that the people running it, Dr. Venture’s new Arch-enemy Sgt. Hatred, have moral codes to follow. Brock tells Dr. Venture that he’s safer inside the party then he would be inside of his own compound. Dr. Venture doesn’t seem too convinced and asks Brock if he really thinks he’s safer, and he also asks him if he’s sure about it. Brock tells him that he isn’t sure. Brock tells him that he really wants to continue watching the PBS program, and that he wants to see them shoot the huge crossbow. Sgt. Hatred calls out for Dr. Venture from the hallway, and then he walks into the room. The Sgt. notices that the door was opened, and tells them that they have to keep the door closed or else his cat might get out of the room. Brock asks him if what he had previously seen was a cat, since, as Brock explains, he thought it was some guy wearing a cat costume. Sgt. Hatred agrees with Brock and tells him that he knows it’s huge and he doesn’t know what his wife is feeding it. Sgt. Hatred changes the subject and tells Dr. Venture that he has to go back to the party and that it is in fact his (Dr. Venture’s) parry, and that his guests what to meet his new arch-nemesis.

Back inside the cocoon fortress Tim-Tom walks along a hallway calling out for Henchman 21 & 24. We see many other henchmen nervously looking by from their own rooms closing their door as Tin-Tom passes by. Tim-Tom tauntingly tells Number 21 and 24 that they have a “little present” for them. We then see Numbers 21 and 24 with Hank and Dean tip-toeing along the hallway so that the Moppets wouldn't notice them. We then hear Kevin calling out for Tim-Tom. Kevin goes to Tim-Tom and shows him a device he had just found. The device appears to be a tracking system of some kind that allows them to find a missing Monarch Henchman. Kevin remarks that Number 21’s radar blip on the tracking device is as fat as he really is.

Back inside Sgt. Hatred’s party, we see a group of villains and Dr. Venture playing a game of charades. It’s Dr. Venture’s turn to be it, he’s dancing around acting like a bird. Both the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend are attempting to guess who or what Dr. Venture is acting like, each time they say something remotely similar and having to do with a “bird” and a movie. The Monarch tells Dr. Girlfriend that he knows it’s a bird and that Dr. Venture has been doing the same thing for over five minutes. When the time is finally up, no one guesses correctly and Dr. Venture reveals that the movie he was trying to act out was “Birdy." The Monarch becomes annoyed from this and tells Dr. Venture that he could have done a better job. It’s now the Monarch’s turn. As Sgt Hatred calls up the Monarch, the Monarch puts the micro explosive he had stolen from Sgt. Hatred’s lab onto Dr. Venture’s back. Dr. Venture goes to sit down. The Monarch handpicks a random paper that has movie title on it from out of Sgt. Hatred’s hat. Sgt. Hatred tells the Monarch to start, and so the Sergeant starts his stop-watch. The Monarch starts to do an act where he’s moving his hand in a circular motion right next to his other hand. Immediately Dr. Venture calls it “it’s a movie." The Monarch responds to him by telling him “duh!." Sgt. Hatred tells him that he isn’t allowed to speak during the game. The Monarch now walks backwards in a moonwalk and is also “walking like an Egyptian." Dr. Venture tries to guess again, he tells him that it’s “The Scorpion King." Dr. Girlfriend then answers with “Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo." The Monarch tells her that she’s correct, but Sgt. Hared tells him that he can’t count since he talked during the game. The Monarch becomes angry after hearing what Sgt. Hatred had told him and dramatically threatens him. Sgt. Hared interrupts him and tells him that he and everyone in the party have heard the same lines millions of times before, seeing as everyone there are super-villain.

We are then shown Numbers 21 and 24, Hank and Dean running for their lives, outside in a yard. Number 24 tells them that his wounds have reopened and that he thinks he is bleeding internally again. Number 21 tells him that they are all going to be bleeding internally if Number 24 doesn’t “suck it up." Numbers 21 and 24 get into a small argument. Hank then notices the Moppets approach them. Number 21 tells them to get inside the bushes. They all do, and when they get to the other side, they notice they are now inside a hedge maze.

Back at Sgt. Hatred’s party, we Dr. Girlfriend smoking a cigarette outside in a porch and talking to Sgt. Hatred who is smoking a cigar, and another one of his guests. They are discussing Sgt. Hatred’s formal arch-nemeses. The Monarch walks in, and Dr. Girlfriend explains to him that Sgt. Hatred use to arch for “Commander Consummate," and that he thinks he would be a perfect arch-nemesis for them. The Monarch tells them that he isn’t too interested. The Monarch then smells cigarette smoke and asks Dr. Girlfriend if she was smoking. Dr. Girlfriend asks him who he’s asking. The Monarch tells her that he’s asking her. Dr. Girlfriend asks him why he’s asking her. The Monarch asks her again if she’s smoking. Dr. Girlfriend answers him with a “maybe." The Monarch is outraged by this and asks her when she started smoking. Dr. Girlfriend tells him that she started smoking in the 1980s. The Monarch tells her that she’s been lying to him all the time. He says that he should have realized it sooner since all the signs pointed to her being a smoker, like the filled ashtrays and the burning incense. Sgt. Hatred butts in and continues the list of signs by saying that she has a “3 pack a day” voice. The Monarch asks her why she couldn’t have just told him about her addiction. Dr. Girlfriend tried to respond to him but is interrupted by him; he keeps calling her a “liar." She tells him that he knew the way he’d react to him finding out about she smokes was the way he’s acting now. Dr. Girlfriend then walks away, and so does the other guest that was with them outside in the porch. As Dr. Girlfriend leave, Sgt. Hatred tells the Monarch that he has to learn to relax now that he’s married. Sgt. Hatred continues to say that he knew how the Phantom Limb used to handle her. The Monarch tells the Sergeant not to bring up the Phantom Limb. Sgt. Hatred tells the Monarch the thing he needs to get relaxed is to take off his clothes.

Back inside the hedge maze, Number 21 & 24 with Hank and Dean are running around inside the maze looking for a way out, while the two Moppets, Tim-tom and Kevin are chasing them. Number 24 hears an ominous electronic sound that’s following them, and asks himself where he remembers this noise from. Dean tells them that it sounds like from the “Pac-Man” games. Hank tells Dean that “Pac-Man” was had a different tone to it. Number 21 tells them that the tone Hank was thinking about is the one where Pac-Man dies, and the tone they’re thinking of is the one where Pac-Man is eating his white pellets. Number 24 remembers what the sound is coming from. Number 24 tells them that the sound is coming from the Monarch’s troop tracker. Number 21 tells him that it must be the chip inside their uniforms.

Back inside Sgt. Hatred's house, we see the Monarch and Sgt. Hatred in a hot tub. Sgt. Hatred asks the Monarch if the jets inside the hot tube feel good. The Monarch tells him that they do. Sgt. Hatred then suggests calling Dr. Girlfriend to join them in the hot tub. He continues to say that he remembers the time Dr. Girlfriend and Phantom Limb came over. The Monarch tells him that he’s had enough of him being around him. He asks Sgt. Hatred why he’s been so close to him the entire day, and that he invited him to watch his sworn enemy become his new arch-enemy. Sgt. Hatred stops him when the Monarch calls Dr. Venture his sworn enemy and corrects him by telling him that Dr. Venture is now Hatred's sworn enemy. The Monarch continues what he was saying, and asks him why he keeps bringing up the Phantom Limb and what Hatred has against him. Sgt. Hatred tells him that he’s a changed man, and that he has less hatred inside himself now. He tells the Monarch that he isn’t stupid and he has always known that the Monarch and his henchmen have always been robbing him. The Monarch tries to deny it, but Sgt. Hatred tells him to stop treating him like an old man. Sgt Hatred tells him that he’s been a professional villain most of his life, while the Monarch has been sitting around training his so-called worthless henchmen. Sgt Hatred tells him that he’s been biding his time and was going to strike when he had the chance to. The Monarch tells him that he can’t do anything, seeing as the Guild wouldn’t allow such an act from him. Sgt. Hatred tells him that he’s going to be all right and that he’ll live to see his arch rival, Dr. Venture, treated like a king. Sgt Hatred tells the Monarch that since Dr. Venture is his arch enemy now, he’s going to treat him the best humanly way possible and since the Monarch can’t do anything about he’s just going to have to live with it. The Monarch stands up, showing his naked body to Sgt. Hatred. Sgt Hatred tells the Monarch to sit back down, and that nobody wants to see that. The Monarch tells him to deal with it. As the Monarch stands up the Monarch tells him that he had planted Sgt. Hatred’s micro explosive onto Dr. Venture’s back, and that in minutes he’ll be dead inside his home. The Monarch continues to brag that he’ll be done with both his enemies in one small explosion. As the Monarch says this, Brock throws Dr. Venture out onto the porch where the Monarch and Sgt. Hatred are at. Dr. Venture tells both the Monarch and Sgt. Hatred that Brock had told him that he should get to know his antagonists better, and that he doesn’t exactly know why Brock wants him to do this.

Back inside the hedge maze, Tim-Tom and Kevin are running around the maze looking at their tracking device as a reference.

Dr. Venture gets undressed and enters the hot tub, with Sgt. Hatred's micro explosion on his back. Both the Monarch and Sgt. become frightened over him getting close to them while the clueless Dr. Venture has the explosive device attached to him. As Dr. Venture gets in the tub naked, he brags to them about inheriting his father’s looks.

In the hedge maze, Tim-Tom and Kevin find what appears to be Numbers 21 & 24. Both Moppets attack and stab them.

At the hot tub, both the Monarch and Sgt. Hatred seem more frightened now that Dr. Venture is in the tub with them. Dr. Venture continues to brag about his appearance. The miniature explosive on Dr. Venture's back counts down from 5 to 3.

In the hedge maze, Tim-Tom and Kevin find out that what they had found, and what they were stabbing, weren’t Numbers 21 & 24, but only their Henchmen outfits.

At the hot tub, Dr. Venture is soaking as the miniature explosive device’s timer counts down from 2 to 0. It goes off, but only bubbles come up from Dr. Venture’s back. Dr. Venture asks for forgiveness and thinks that he had thrown a “fart," caused by eating too much shrimp. Both the Monarch and Sgt. Hatred look back at Dr. Venture. We then see Numbers 21 & 24 coming out of the bushes naked. Number 21 yells out that “shrimps have knives.”

[END CREDITS]

After the credits, inside Sgt. Hatred’s home, we see cars taking off. In the backyard we see Number 21 putting on a robe and Hank putting his shirt back on. Number 21 tells Hank that he didn’t have to take off his clothes. Hank tells him that since they took off their clothes he thought “water slide," he tells him that he thinks it's part of his DNA. We then see Number 24 wearing a robe and tells Dean that he always wanted to be a “cabinet maker." Dean tells him to follow his dreams even if they make no sense at all. Brock calls out to Hank and Dean and tells them that they are leaving. As Hank and Dean leave, Sgt. Hatred, who is still inside the hot tub, tells them goodnight. Sgt. Hatred continues to talk to them and invites them for a sleep over. The Sergeant continues to explain to them that his wife is at her mother’s, and that he has a basement full of video games. Hank and Dean leave the porch and shut the door behind them. Sgt. Hatred gets up and tells them that they can shower as well.
