Live Show, Quarter Finals #2 - Recap

The second part of the LIVE show quarter finals begins and Casey Weston, Devon Barley, Javier Colon and Jeff Jenkins for Team Adam and Curtis Grimes, Nakia, Tori & Taylor Thompson and Vicci Martinez for Team Cee-Lo are going to perform tonight while Blake and Christina are going to find out which singers from their team are saved from the audience vote and they are going to have to pick who to save and who not to.

They get to the results from last week’s performances. They review the singers and get the artists on stage. Christina gets emotional and says that she is sad that two of the girls have to go home. The singer definitely through to the semi-finals is Beverly McClellan. She says that she is shaking in her shoes. This leaves Christina to pick from Frenchie, Raquel, and Lily. Christina tells that Raquel is her little dynamo and says that she has so many places she can go. She tells that Lily says that she has an incredible vocal range and it was amazing. She tells Frenchie that everything about her is right on. She picks Frenchie Davis to join Beverly. Frenchie says that this means a great deal to her.

Tori & Taylor Thompson are first up for Team Cee-Lo. They are going to sing “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. They get on the stage and do a good job at it. Adam says that it was good old fashioned entertainment and says that they were amazing. Blake says that he loved every moment of it. Christina says that it was nice for Cee-Lo and says that it was very entertaining and she enjoyed it. Cee-Lo thanks them and says that they did a wonderful job.

Casey Weston is next and she is singing “Black Horse and a Cherry Tree” Katie Tunstal. She comes out and does a great job. Blake says that he is about to download that in a second and it was cool. Christina says that it was fun and says that she has a beautiful voice, but make sure that the background doesn’t overpower her. Cee-Lo says that she grew into it and says that she a wonderful job. Adam says that he knew that she was out of her comfort zone and says that she killed it and it was amazing.

Vicci Martinez is up next and she is going to be singing “Jolleen” by Dolly Parton. She comes out and does a great job. Adam says that it was just a soulful, raw performance. Blake says that he is a huge fan of her. Christina says that she loved the whole use of the set and it was nice and sexy. Cee-Lo says that she worked the stage like a professional. He says that it was a perfect choice.

Devon Barely is up and he is going to sing “Stop And Stare” by One Republic. He comes out on the stage and it is pitchy toward the end. Blake says that it was powerful and says that it was great. Christina says that she is into him and says that he brings it when he is on stage. Cee-Lo says that he has a strong vocal and it is great. Christina says that it sexy and makes Cee-Lo blushes. Adam says there was lot of things last week and he wanted confidence for Devon. He says that he is proud of him.

Cee-Lo takes his team to a Day Spa and tells them to be fearless and will defend their right. They get some massages. Team Cee-Lo sing and Cee-Lo sits down with a fro wig and has a 60’s theme type of song. The judges give them a standing ovation.

Nakia is next and he is going to sing “Sex on Fire” by Kings of Leon. He does a great job. Blake says that he felt the burn and it was great. Cee-Lo says that it was great and Christina and Adam liked it too.

Jeff Jenkins “Jesus Take The Wheel” by Carrie Underwood. He has his emotions get the best of him, but it is great. Christina says that it was beautiful and asks what he was going through. Jeff tells that it was about letting Jesus take you. Adam says that he did a great job that he forgot about the competition.

Adam and his team meet at his place and Devon asks what goes through Adam’s mind before a performance and he says that he pretends everyone loves him. He tells them to set themselves apart. Team Adam sings “Try to Get A Little Help From My Friends”. They are great and the judges give them a standing ovation.

Last to sing for Team Cee-Lo is Curtis Grimes. He is going to sing “Addicted to Love”. He does a good job. Adam says that he really wears the cowboy hat and says that it was like a Country version to the song. Blake says that he is looking good and sounded good. Christina says that it was great. Cee-Lo says that he did a great job and it was awesome.

Last to sing for Team Adam is Javier Colon. He is going to sing “Angel” by Sarah McLaughlin. He comes out and does a great job at it. Blake says that he can’t say anything more that people don’t know. Christina says that he is a talented artist and says that it was a tough song, but she says that he made it his own. Cee-Lo says that he really has a voice of an angel. Adam says that it was absolutely perfect.

The results for Team Blake are up and Jared Blake, Patrick Thomas, Dia Frampton and Xenia are getting ready for the results. Blake says that he knows how Christina felt and he is dreading this. They recap the performances. The singer definitely through to the semi-finals is Dia Frampton. This leaves Blake to choose between Patrick, Jared and Xenia for Blake to choose from. He says that Patrick was a great solid country singer, Xenia is so young and is loved and Jared is a rocker. He picks Xenia because she has a lot to work with. Blake hugs Jared and Patrick and then hugs the girls. Xenia says that she is so happy. Next week Frenchie Davis, Beverly McClellan, Dia Frampton and Xenia go head to head in the first part of the Semi-Finals.
