The Blind Auditions, Part 2 - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera are back for another round of auditions as each coach has two singers on their teams. Tonight they are going to get more to add to their team to make a group of 16 each. The coaches are happy to have the chance to hear the voices and take their seats to await the oncoming talent.

Adriana Louise (22) from Brooklyn, NY is up first for the night. She says that she has been waitressing and bartending. She says that music is her life. She says that music got her through when her family was kidnapped and then found. She comes out and sings “Domino”. All four coaches turn around their chairs. Christina says that they belong together and says that she wants her on her team. Blake says that is the fifth time she has said that. CeeLo says that she is a professional and they look like they just got married. Adam says that her voice is a recording voice and LIVE voice. Blake says congratulations on the wedding and says that he is smiling. Christina says that she believes she is a superstar already. She eventually goes with Team Christina.

Next up is Casey Muessigmann (22). He is a Wrestler and says that he got hurt and he got heavy. He says that music helped him and says that he wants to prove that he has everything it takes. He comes out and sings “Sweet Home Alabama”. Blake and CeeLo turn their chairs around. Adam says that he might as well go to Blake now. CeeLo says that his voice didn’t sound like one thing. Blake says that he can hear the Country Rock and loved the ass smacking. Casey decides to go with Team Blake.

Up next is Aquile (24) from San Diego, CA. He says that he is bi-racial and that there were many who feel that it is a problem. He says that he had his jaw wired shut and taught himself guitar. He always loved to sing. He comes out and sings “Your Song”. Adam, CeeLo and Christina turn their chairs around. Adam says that he is shocked that they didn’t turn around because it was so good from the first note. He says that he knows that he can help him. Christina says that she got him as a vocalist. She says that she wants a private concert and laughs. CeeLo says that he wanted to hear more from his voice and says that he saw the potential. He eventually chooses to go with Team Christina.

Ryan Fogarty (28) from Nashville, TN is up next. He is the production coordinator for Leann Rimes. He says that this would be incredible. Leann Rimes says that he is a great singer. He comes out and sings “Tomorrow”. However, no matter how hard he tries, he doesn’t get a chair to turn around. CeeLo says that it wasn’t enough to give him the right edge. Adam says that it wasn’t his taste. Christina says that it was good, but it kind of fell off. Blake says that he was looking for something else.

This is not the only artist that doesn’t get a chair to turn for them. Brett Hite’s version of “Replay”, Matt Carr’s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay and others were not up to par to what the coaches are looking for in a singer right now.

Hoping to get through is Mackenzie Bourg (19) from Lafayette, LA. He says that he was diagnosed with a disease that shuts down his organs. However, his heart is better and says that he has a passion for sharing his gift. He says that too many people take breathing for granted. He comes out and sings “Pumped Up Kids”. CeeLo turns his chair around. Christina says that she was waiting for it to go somewhere, but it was good that CeeLo got his sound. Blake says that he looks like Harry Potter and Christina says that he has a Justin Beiber vibe. Mackenzie says that they can go back to Harry Potter. He joins Team CeeLo.

The final artist is Julio Ceasar Castillo (21) from Chiago, IL. He says that he fell in love with Mariachi Music. He has a band and that is how he supports his family. However, he wants to do more. His father is diagnosed with Epilepsy and so it is hard. He says that he is going to sing entirely in Spanish. He comes out and sings “La Bamba”. Blake and CeeLo turn their chairs around. Christina says that was so much fun. Blake says that he has a strong and technical voice. He says that he was the champion of Season 2. CeeLo says that he did a great job and says that he needs to sing some Mariachi. He does and wows the crowd. He says that he is different. Julio goes with Team Blake. That’s it for another round of Blind Auditions! Tomorrow is another night!
