The episode begins and it's dawn at the Hershel farm. The survivors meanwhile, are eating lunch in a camp outside the main house. Suddenly, Glenn stands up after an encouraging nod from Dale. "Um, guys, so, the barn is full of walkers," Glenn discloses, much to everyone’s shock and horror. Shane, then on hearing this, peeks into the barn. Sure enough, there are more than a dozen hungry, drooling zombies inside. Shane becomes angry, at this revelation. He wants to leave, immediately. Daryl, Rick and Carol argue in the meanwhile. They then discuss about Sophia. Shane though is sick of hearing about Sophia. ..Read the full recap

Trivia: Maggie is quoting from Book of St. John (13:34) when she says "A new command I give to you: Love one another, as I have loved you."
Casting: The walkers that Rick, Hershel and Jimmy remove from the swamp and bring back to the farm were played by father and daughter stunt performers.
Maggie: Give me your hat.
(Maggie smashes an egg inside Glenn's hat)
Glenn: Why would you waste an egg like that?
Maggie: I figure it was rotten.
Shane: Dale, shut up. Just shut up and give me the guns.
Dale: Am I gonna have to shoot you? Do I have to kill you? Is that what it's gonna take?
Shane: Eh, yeah. That's what it's gonna take.
Shane: These things ain't sick. They're not people. They're dead. Ain't gonna feel nothing for them 'cause all they do, they kill! These things right here, they're the things that killed Amy. They killed Otis. They're gonna kill all of us. Hey, Hershel, man, let me ask you something. Can a living breathing person, could they walk away from this?
(shoots walker in its chest)
Rick: No! Stop it!
Shane: That's three rounds in the chest. Could someone who's alive, can they just take that? Why is it still coming?
(shoots walker in its chest again)
Shane: That's its heart, its lungs. Why is it still coming?
(shoots it again)
Rick: Shane, enough!
Shane: Yeah, you're right, man. That is enough.
Dale: This is where you belong, Shane.
Shane: How's that, Dale?
Dale: This world, what it is now, this is where you belong. And I may not have what it takes to last for long, but that's okay. 'Cause at least I can say when the world goes to shit, I didn't let it take me down with it.
Shane: Fair enough.
Glenn: I had to tell them.
Maggie: You did not!
Glenn: No. I did! Okay? I wanted to! You see, I forgot. Okay? I forgot or I stopped thinking about it or maybe I didn't wannna think about it. I let them lower me into that well like it was fun. Like I was playing Portal. Eh, that's a video game.
Maggie: Of course it's a video game.
Glenn: And then the pharmacy happened yesterday and I realized something. I forgot that they're dangerous. I don't care if they're sick people or dead people. They're dangerous. And then I realized something else. That I don't want you in danger ever. So, I hate to blow your dad's big secret, but I'm sick of secrets. Secrets get you killed. And I'd rather have you pissed off at me and alive than liking me and dead. So that's why I told him.
Maggie: Hey, walker bait.
Glenn: Don't call me that.
Maggie: Okay, Glenn.
Rick: (to Herschel) You and I have our differences, the way we look at walkers. Those people; they may be dead, they may be alive, but my people? Us? We are alive, right now, right in front of you.
When Maggie is talking to Hershel in their kitchen, she mentions that she was 14 years old when Hershel married Annette (Beth's father). It was established in a previous episode that Maggie is 22 years old, which means that she would be at least 13 years older than Beth. However, Beth only seems to be about 5 or 6 years younger.
When Rick shoots walker as she comes out of the barn you can hear the sound of a shell hitting the ground after the gunshot goes off. Rick is using a Colt Python revolver, which does not eject its shells.
When Glenn and Maggie are arguing her blouse alternated between being on and off her right shoulder.
When Dale is talking to Shane in the woods there are marks on Shane's t-shirt where the barrel of a gun was pressed, even before Dale presses his rifle to his chest.
