Hershel: Some counsel meeting, huh?
Sasha: We're two members short.
Hershel: I think we should make some new rules before they get back. I hearby declare we have 'Spaghetti Tuesday's' every Wednesday. First we have to find some spaghetti.
Maggie: Where's Glenn? He said he would meet me.
Hershel: He's resting.
Maggie: Is he okay?
Hershel: He was helping me and he got tired. That's all.
Maggie: If you need help, I can help you.
Hershel: I don't. I was just keeping him occupied. Keeping his mind on healthy people.
Maggie: I can come in there and help you.
Hershel: No, you don't need to.
Maggie: You can rest, dad--
Hershel: No. How's Bethy?
Maggie: She's okay. Daddy, you look so tired.
Hershel: I am. But I'm fine.
Hershel: Third one we've lost. We're burning them behind the blocks. Burning them. That's what it's come to.
Rick: Are you okay?
Hershel: I talked to him yesterday, about Steinbeck. He told me a quote, "A sad soul can kill quicker than a germ." That's exactly why I didn't want them all to see what happens. I know they know, but I didn't want them to see it right now.
Rick: They're seeing you, Hershel. They see you, keep going. Even after all the choices keep getting taken away. When we get past this thing, it's not going to be like how it was, is it?
Maggie: If Carl were sick, would you be up there with him?
Rick: If I thought I could help.
Maggie: You don't think I can help?
Rick: I'm just glad you're out here with me.
Hershel: Welcome back.
Sasha: I passed out.
Hershel: You were dehydrated. Being a hero takes a lot out of ya.
Sasha: You should know. I thought you were an idiot to come in here. I mean, I was sure you were just going to be a dead, foolish man.
Hershel: I can't tell if that's a compliment.
Sasha: I don't know what I'm saying, I must have hit my head. I don't believe in magic, or luck, I do the math and I don't gamble. But I don't know if I'd be here right now if you weren't so damns stupid.
Hershel: You know what, I'm going to take that as a compliment.
Tyreese: How's Glenn doing?
Hershel: He made it through the night. He's breathing on his own now, Maggie and Bob are with him. He seems stable enough for me to get some air.
Daryl: He's a tough son of a bitch.
Hershel: He is.
Daryl: You're a tough son of a bitch.
Hershel: I know.
