Brian is talking to his camp. He’s explaining that there is a tough decision to make, and that their current situation won’t hold for long. While he talks, we see cut scenes of where the last episode ended. It’s him outside the prison aiming his pistol at Michonne. He pistol whips Michonne and takes Hershel prisoner. He continues his speech by telling the people that it’s possible to take the prison without killing anyone. Part of his speech explains that not everyone in the prison are bad, but that some are. He explains his view of what happened before. Ultimately he convinces his camp that they need to take the prison to survive. ..

Episode Quotes
The Governor: I have to talk all of you into doing something. Something I know we need to do. I don't know how to talk about it.
Tara: What do you want us to do?
The Governor: I want you to survive. We're not going to last here, the biters, there'll be a heard of them. They'll fill the pits, crawl over one another. There'll be enough to tear right through our camp. Or it will be people. There's nothing between us and the rest of the world. Nothing between us and them. We stay here, we'll die. The people who destroyed the camp I was in with Martinez? They live in a prison. It's north off highway 34. They've got walls, fences, plots of land for farming. We could live there, if we're willing to take it from them. I have a plan to do it without anyone getting hurt. I captured two of them.
Tara: What?
The Governor: I was scouting the prison, our paths crossed, so I took them.
Tara: You took them?
The Governor: They're the key. They're going to help us take that prison without firing a shot. We can have it, and we don't need to kill anyone. But, we need to be prepared to.

Glenn: I could use a vacation. Get away. Just for a weekend.
Maggie: Yeah.
Glenn: You know, our anniversary is coming up.
Maggie: It is?
Glenn: One of these days.
Maggie: You've ever been to Amicalola Falls? Tallest waterfalls in Georgia.
Glenn: Mm-mmm.
Maggie: My Dad took me there when I was little. When we were up there, all the way at the top looking down, I felt like I was flying.
Glenn: I'll go load up the station wagon.

The Governor: You're a good man, Hershel. A better man than Rick.
Hershel: Everything you said, the way you've said it, you've changed. So has Rick.
The Governor: The two of us will never be able to live together. Michonne and I, we'll never be able to live together.
Hershel: We'll find a way.
The Governor: I found a way! I'm trying hard. There's all kinds of ways I could do this. This way, you get to live and I get to be...
Hershel: You say you want to take this prison as peacefully as possible. That means you'd be willing to hurt people to get it. My daughters would be there. That's who you'd be hurting. If you understand what it's like to have a daughter, then how could you threaten to kill someone else's?
The Governor: Because they aren't mine.

Rick: Look, I've fought him before. And after, we took in his old friends. They've become leaders in what we have here. Now you put down your weapons, walk through those gates... you're one of us. We let of all of it, and nobody dies. Everyone who's alive right now. Everyone's who's made it this far. We've all done the worst kinds of things just to stay alive. But we can still come back. We're not too far gone. We get to come back. I know...we all can change.
The Governor: Liar.

Rick: Don't look back, Carl. Just keep walking.
