  Episode Summary
When Kenny's dad bails, Larry turns to Dave to take them to the Comic Book Convention. At first Dave refuses, but after he overhears Larry call him a hero, he decides to take them. Once there, Dave pretends to like all of the things Larry likes to uphold his title. However, he screws things up after he makes Larry miss the autograph signing of his favorite comic hero. Meanwhile, Vicky gets Mike hooked on coffee and accidentally tells Hillary she can go on to a sleepover with a boy.

  Episode Notes
The episode was originally titled "Comic Con".

Vicky mentions the website extremefarmchicks.com. Usually, when real websites or phone numbers are mentioned in the show, FOX will buy the site or number and use it as a joke. Extremefarmchicks.com does not exist, but FOX does own the domain.

  Episode Quotes
Larry: You know what, you are a worse father than Darth Vader!

Dave: Anyone else hungry? It's almost 3:00.
Kenny: Ooh, I guess I could go for an Intergalactic Dog.
Larry: They're out of this world.
Dave: Here's an idea. Why don't we go to a restaurant?
Larry: But this is where all the fun is.
Kenny: We could go to a restaurant any time. How often do you get to have aliens serve you your lunch?
Dave: Apparently, you've never had a burrito at the Quickee Mart.

Dave: What?
Larry: Kenny's dad promised to take us to the big comic book convention in Philadelphia this weekend, but then, at the last minute, he canceled.
(cut scene)
Dave: You see, that's why I never promise my kids anything. If they don't expect anything, they'll never be disappointed. It also applies to wives and foreplay.

Mike: I'm screwed. I've got a test on this stupid Moby Dick on Monday and every time I start reading, I just... I doze off. It's like an 800-page Valium.
Vicky: Hmm. Here's an idea. You're tired? Have a cup of coffee.
Mike: Aren't I too young?
Vicky: Please. I've seen the history trail on your computer. If you're old enough for ExtremeFarmChicks.com, I think you can handle a cup of coffee.
Mike: I told you, that was a pop-up!

Vicky: Dave, you're not doing anything this weekend. Why can't you just take him?
Dave: Oh, great, you're on his side? You know, when I said I wanted to be double-teamed, that's not what I meant.

Dave: Wait, so I have to wear a costume to drive to the Convention Center and drop you off in the parking lot?
Larry: Drop us off? What are you talking about? You said you were taking me to the comic book convention.
Dave:
I am taking you.
(cut scene)
Dave: Then I'm coming right back here, checking out the cable porn, then watching the Jets game.

  Cultural References
Larry: You know what, you are a worse father than Darth Vader!

Larry is referring to Darth Vader from the Star Wars series.

Kenny: We could go to a restaurant any time. How often do you get to have aliens serve you your lunch?
Dave: Apparently, you've never had a burrito at the Quickee Mart.

Another jab at the recent immigration problem. Dave is actually talking about illegal "aliens" (or "undocumented immigrant’"), people from other countries like Mexico who cross over the border and get jobs here that basically nobody else wants. Dave could also be referencing the Simpsons when talking about the Quickee Mart (Kwik-E-Mart).
