Dr. Miguelito Loveless, played by Michael Dunn

An opponent might be inclined to underestimate Dr. Loveless owing to his diminutive stature - he stands just under four feet tall. That opponent does so at his great peril, for what Dr. Loveless lacks in height he more than makes up for in genius. Were he not obsessed with regaining a portion of California (the southern half) he feels was stolen from him, there is no telling what he might have accomplished. Among his inventions are an explosive so powerful a pea-sized pellet can destroy a man completely. Models seen in his laboratory show that he pondered the airplane twenty years or more before the Wright Brothers launched their own craft. He beat Edison to the gramophone, devised powerful hallucinogens, powders for shrinking men to doll-size and killing off all plant and animal life, an exo-skeleton suit disguised as a suit of medieval armor, and even a mechanism that let individuals enter into alternate dimensions contained in paintings! Jim West and Artemus Gordon remain the only men able to consistently thwart his plans, prompting him to attempt a variety of fatal destinies for the pair.
