Dr. Faustina and her assistant, Miklos, go to the laboratory. She examines a man on a lab table and then tells Miklos to attach the electrodes. As a storm rages outside, Faustina tells Miklos to hurry. Once they’re ready, the doctor has Miklos raise the lightning rod and they go into the next room to watch the experiment safely. The man on the table comes to life, convulsing, and sits up to reveal that he is... James West...

Episode Quotes
Prudence Fortune: Ummm hmmm.
Lily Fortune: Artemus, you remember Mother.
Artemus: Vividly. Miss Fortune. You have no idea what seeing your face does to me.

Lily Fortune: Mother, don't you remember Artemus?
Prudence Fortune: Lily, dear, you had so many boyfriends. Which one are you? the one whose father was arrested for moonshining?
Artemus: Uh, no, the thoughtful, considerate one.

Lily Fortune: I don't care for any dessert, Mother.
Prudence Fortune: A simple little meal, a five-course dinner, $0.35, it's outrageous. Since dessert is included, we're going to have some. I'll take hers, too.

Dr. Faustina: He killed a woman. Oh, how interesting. Murderers always make such good subjects. Their hearts are in the right place, so to speak.

Prudence Fortune: Lily, you can’t chase after a man like this. It's not decent.
Lily Fortune: Oh, Mother, would you mind coming in out of the 18th century. Artemus is missing, I’ve got to find him.
Prudence Fortune: Well, I wouldn’t chase after a man!
Lily Fortune: That’s why you’ve been a widow for 20 years.

Prudence Fortune: (about Artie) I told you way back in high school he was an undependable sort.
Lily Fortune: And you told me that Lincoln would never be President.

Robot Artemus: Miss Fortune. She means nothing to me.
Lyle Peters: You certainly are the gay dog where the ladies are concerned

Lily Fortune: I love you dearly, but no. I, I, couldn’t live your kind of life. You’d always be disappearing or exploding. I’d never know if I was kissing you or some bomb.
Artemus: Well, try me!
(Jim opens a champagne bottle with a pop)
Lily Fortune: See what I mean.

Episode Goofs
David Sharp, the stuntman who stands in for Artie and his robot duplicate, looks so little like Ross Martin that it's difficult to realize that he is supposed to be the robot in some scenes.

The building where Grant is holed up is the same building that was destroyed earlier when the Cabinet members were blown up.
