Recap

Jim rides up to the small town of Murdock’s Corners as a wolf howls in the distance, upsetting his horse. He manages to calm it, unaware that a robed man is watching from a nearby hillside. Jim goes into the trading post but finds no one inside. The wolf continues to howl and Jim goes out to check on his horse. A wolf leaps at him while the man on the hill gives a wolf cry. Jim’s horse finally breaks its tether and runs off, and Jim gets clear of the wolf and shoots at it, but it seems unharmed and runs away...

Episode Quotes
(posing as Stefan)
Artemus: Kneel, peasant.
James: As a decoy, you're a sitting duck
Artemus: I know. Perfectly willing to abdicate but nobody wants the job.
James: Long live the king.
Artemus: Thank you.

James: You shouldn't be alone, Princess.
Leandra: I wish you wouldn't call me that.
James: Better get used to it after tomorrow.
Leandra: After tomorrow, I'll be a prisoner.
James: It won't be so bad. There'll be parties, balls, palace dances.
Leandra: I like a square dance.
James: And there'll be handsome officers.
Leandra: They wouldn't last a day in a Western saddle.
James: And there's another thing. When your Prince Charming comes along, he'll be a real prince.
Leandra: Oh, he'll be real, all right. Handpicked by the Royal Matchmaker. He'll have blue blood but not much of it. No chin but lots of stomach.

Talamantes: Please do not scream again, princess. It offends me.

Episode Goofs
In the opening sequence, but also later in the mine cart, it's clear that Robert Conrad is wrestling with dummy wolves.

When the camera goes to a shot of the tunnel entrance to Talamantes' lair, a fake spider is obviously pulled across a spider web. Its legs don't move.
