The search for a missing scientist takes Jim and Artie into the Louisiana bayous. There they find voodoo ceremonies, zombies, a mad scientist, and a long-delayed wedding.

In Louisiana, the locals have gathered for a voodoo service in a cave. Jim knocks a man out and approaches the ceremony, Once the dancer finishes, a masked woman steps out of the crowd, drinks from a silver jar, and then steps onto a bed of hot coals. She walks without pain across the coals and goes to an altar, and then removes a cloth covering what appears to be a dead man. The woman takes a machete and prepares to strike, and Jim shoots the weapon out of her hand. The crowd simply turns and walks out as a horn sounds, paying no attention to Jim...
