Collateral Damage - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
After the case gets dumped back in Russell's lap, McNulty offers to help her out, ensuring that it boomerangs back to Rawls. He knows it will tick him off, but at least he can get back at him for forcing him to go on the boat. Soon the cases are given to Bunk and Lester. The two are ready to kill McNulty after Landsman puts the fourteen whodunits under their names on the Board and forces them to work with Russell in solving the case.

Sobotka chews the Greeks out about the bodies in the containers, but the Greeks do a little investigating of their own and discover that McNulty's floater was killed by a ship's crewman in front of the other girls. It turns out that girls were killed because of what they saw and to make sure they didn't tell what the crewman did to the girl.

Brianna takes a message to Avon and urges her brother to take care of business, especially about helping out D'Angelo in prison. Avon tells her that he will, but has smirk on his face after she leaves. Soon, Wee-Bey complains to Avon about his treatment at the hands of C.O. Tilghman and Avon tries to come up with a plan to get back at him.

Valchek strikes a deal with Burrell in exchange for his help in waging war on Sobotka, and Sobotka strikes back by handing the Baltimore Police Department a major embarrassment of their own, which displeases everyone around. At the same time, Daniels decides it's time for him to put in his papers.
