Episode Quotes |
| |
Kevin: (to Wayne) Course we know what second base is, sort of.
Narrator: And then with an air of authority that only an idiot, or an older brother, can have. Wayne proceeded to elaborate a baseball metaphor that changed the way we looked at women - and baseball - forever.
Wayne: And I'm telling you, everybody gets to at least second base by the seventh grade.
Narrator: This was a lot of pressure. Especially since most of the girls we knew had no second bases. | Kevin: Hi.
Winnie: Hi.
Kevin: Hi.
Winnie: What are you doing?
Kevin: Nothing.
Winnie: Ah.
Kevin: When do you come back to school?
Winnie: Monday.
Kevin: Ah.
Winnie: But... maybe we can do something tomorrow. I mean, if you want.
[b]Kevin: Yeah. I mean, sure, if you want.
Winnie: Well, I am going to my uncle's in the morning. But I'll be back until three.
Paul: (from across the street, hiding a book in his jacket) Come on, Kev. Let's go.
Kevin: OK. Well, bye. See you tomorrow.
Winnie: OK. Bye.
Kevin: Bye. |

Winnie's parents seen in this episode are different than the ones used in later shows. | This episode is supposed to take place in September 1968, the week after Brian Cooper's death. Kevin and Paul steal a copy of Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex But Were Afraid To Ask from a bookstore. That book was not published until November 1969, 14 months later. | In this episode Kevin states that he knew Paul since Paul was 36 hours old. But Paul's birthday is March 14 and Kevin's March 18. | There are photos of the four Beatles on Kevin's wall. These photos came from the album The
Beatles (a.k.a. The White Album), which was not released until November 1968, where as the show played in early 1968. |
