Narrator: For me, that year Christmas stopped being about tinsel and wrapping paper, and started being about memory. At first I was disappointed. Until I learned that memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you wish to never lose. And I learned from Winnie, that in a world that changes too fast, the best we can do is wish each other Merry Christmas...and good luck.
(Kevin opens the gift from Winnie which is a 4-leaf clover)
Kevin and Wayne ask Jack for a color TV for Christmas but in episodes 1x4, "Angel
" and 1x6, "Dance With Me
", the Arnolds watch a color TV.
In the end the audio clearly doesn't match the visual. It is the scene where the family is laughing because it has just started to rain on X-mas eve. Kevin's laughter on the audio track does not match the visual.
Jack is sitting on the couch reading the sports page on Christmas eve. The headlines read: "Dancer's Image proclaimed Derby winner," or something to that affect. The Kentucky Derby is run in early May.
Paul: Why don't we just pick up the phone, and ask Winnie what it's called?
Kevin: We can't.
Paul: Why not? We can disguise our voices. We could be Avon calling.
'Avon calling' was the slogan used in several commercials for the Avon line of cosmetics.
