Episode Quotes |
| |
Narrator/Adult: The best part of having a best friend is knowing someone really understands you. Paul Pfeiffer and I shared more than...just the laughs and the Oreos.
Paul: Great.
Kevin: Come on...Truth or dare?
Paul: Ummmmm...truth.
Narrator/Adult: We shared confidences.
Paul: I never really told anybody this, but...I kinda like Debbie Ackerman. (Smiles)
Kevin: Nah...no...(smiles)...not good enough. (Gestures) Everybody likes Debbie Ackerman.
Paul: OK. Ummmmm....OK, OK - here's one. Once, when I was nine...I snuck up into her attic, and I saw Mrs. Anderson sunbathing next door.
(Kevin shrugs him off)
Paul: With her top off...(Smiles)
Kevin: No way...Oh! (Kevin frowns heavily and falls sideways onto his sleeping bag, pulling a pillow over his face) I don't believe it!
Paul: OK, your turn.
Kevin: OK. You know that fire alarm that went off Thursday? Fourth period?
Paul: Uh-hmm. (Kevin points at himself, grinning) No way!
Kevin: Yes, way!
Paul: You're lying.
Kevin: You don't think I'd do that?
Paul: Look me in the eye and say you'd do that.
Narrator/Adult: In a lot of ways, Paul knew me better than I knew myself. And he wouldn't hesitate to remind me if I ever forgot.
(Kevin smiles and laughs)
Paul: I knew it.
Narrator/Adult: It was a tried-and-true relationship. |
