Mulder has a photographic memory and the ability to process information and leap ahead to logical conclusions. Because of his interest in the paranormal, he often enjoys watching classic sci-fi movies. He has an intense fear of fire.
Mulder's father, William, was employed in the State Department branch of the federal government. Bill was shot to death by FBI Agent Alex Krycek in his home while Fox was present.
His sister was abducted from their home of 2790 Vine Street, Chilmark, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, on November 27, 1973, while young Fox was playing Stratego. This abduction is what drives Mulder's wholehearted belief in the paranormal. |

Assistant Director Walter Skinner, played by Mitch Pileggi
Full Name: Walter Sergei Skinner
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 200 lbs
Eye Colour: Brown
FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner is the direct supervisor of Agents Mulder and Scully. At first, it seems Skinner is not inclined to trust Mulder or his research on the paranormal, but it is not quite clear if these are his independent intentions or if he is being controlled by people, such as the Cigarette Smoking Man, who's frequent presence in Skinner's office makes it appear that he at least has some control.
Walter Skinner is a former Marine, and veteran of the Vietnam War. He was divorced from Sharon Skinner on March 7, 1996 after 17 years of marriage.
Skinners hobbies include boxing and jogging. He has been treated at a sleeping disorder clinic, after suffering from recurrent dreams of an old woman, which could stem from drug use during Vietnam. |

Special Agent John Doggett, played by Robert Patrick
Full Name: John Jay Doggett
Date of Birth: April 4, 1960
Place of Birth: Atlanta, Georgia
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Service Number: A-27109
Education: Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Public Administration (Syracuse University)
John Jay Doggett was born April 4, 1960 in Atlanta, Georgia. He served in the US Marine Corps Amphibious Unit as a sergeant, and also had a role in the Multi-National Peacekeeping Force for Lebanon Development. After being wounded in the line of duty, he retired from the Marines with commendations.
Doggett worked for the New York Police Department after earning a Masters degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University. While working for the PD, his son, Luke, was abducted, and murdered. Doggett and Special Agent Monica Reyes (who was working out of the New Orleans FBI field office) teamed up to search for his son and the killer. His marriage to Barbara Doggett soon failed, ending in divorce.
Doggett graduated from the FBI Academy in 1995, and landed in the Criminal Investigations Division as a Special Agent. Doggett was assigned to lead the search for Agent Mulder in 2000, but it was unsuccessful and Doggett was demoted to the X-Files division. This led to a mutual hatred between Doggett and Deputy Director Alvin Kersh, who had assigned him the job. He and Agent Reyes took over the X-Files after Mulder was fired from the FBI and Scully left to teach at the FBI Academy. |

Special Agent Monica Reyes, played by Annabeth Gish
Full Name: Monica Julieta Reyes
Date of Birth: March 13, 1968
Place of Birth: Austin, Texas
Hair Color: Brown
Education: B.A. in Folklore and Mythology, M.A. in Religious Studies (Brown University)
Monica Julieta Reyes was born in Austin, Texas on March 13, 1968. Given up for adoption as a child, Monica was adopted by Mexican parents and was raised in Mexico, never knowing or identifying her biological parents. Because of living in Mexico as a child, she speaks Spanish fluently.
Majoring in mythology and folklore at Brown University, she earned her Master's and Bachelor's degree in four years. She enrolled at the Quantico Academy in 1990. Her first task as an FBI agent was serving on a task force investigating Satanic rituals.

While as not obsessed and driven by the paranormal as Fox Mulder, Reyes is highly spiritual and has little doubt about the paranormal. She, unlike John Doggett, is willing to accept explanations involving paranormal activity. |
