Scully: I'm back, and I'm not going anywhere.

Dr. Trepkos: You still believe you can petition heaven and get some penetrating answer. If you found that answer, what would you do with it?

Episode Goofs

The human body temperature of 98.6º F seems awfully cold for an organism that lives in the intense heat of a volcano...

The snakelike spores eventually burst through the neck of their hosts. The neck is a very crowded area: windpipe, spine, esophagus, all the arteries and veins... there is most likely not enough room for a full grown parasite to live in the neck without causing a load of physical discomfort to the host.

When O'Neil died, a puff of spores flew out of the crack in the door. Now, if only one spore is needed to infect someone, why wasn't Scully, who was handcuffed to O'Neil, infected?
