Episode Quotes |

Scully: Do you know him?
Sharon Skinner: I used to think so. I'm Sharon Skinner. I'm his wife. | Scully: They found no semen samples. There was some irritation, probably an allergic reaction to latex.
Mulder: At least they were having safe sex. |

Episode Goofs |
| |
After hearing about Skinner's nightmares about an old woman visiting him, Mulder concludes that he is encountering a succubus. Too bad Mulder misplaced his mythology books, because the creature that keeps appearing to Skinner is more like the Night-Riding Hag of European legend. A succubus is traditionally a sexually alluring demon which rises from the underworld to introduce infernal sexual pleasures to humans. They are usually tall and voluptuous, not old and wrinkled as in this episode. | Skinner's caring and devoted wife wasn't at his side when he was shot a few weeks earlier and hospitalized. |
