It seems that Scully forgot how Mulder correctly pronounced Ronin in "Pusher". When she briefs the U.S. Marshals on Modell, she says that he thinks of himself as a Ronin, pronouncing the 'i' as an English short 'i' when the Japanese 'i' always sounds like 'ee' in English.
