After Simon saying that this week he would send the worse act home in the final showdown he backtracked and decided to make it go to deadlock again. If it's going to be fixed this week every way might as well scrap the final showdown now as it is completely pointless. I'm afraid to admit after the last two weeks this series has lost all credibility.

Seriously getting bored of it now. Complete wast of time having a showdown and then not sending the worse act home so that the ratings can stay high.

Perhaps the showdown aspect isnt really all that fair in the first place though? Having it based purely on public vote seems to give us more control in deciding who we want to watch? I do admit I was sad to see Lucie go last night though.

Yeah I agree. I think Pop Idol worked much better when that had the format of the public deciding every week who would go home. With the judges deciding out of the bottom two it has become a farse.

Lucie was boring. I hate Jon & Edward, tbh I don't care who left.

I think not watching is a bit extreme, as it is still fun and entertaining. You have to take the farce aspect with a pinch of salt, the show has always had a scripted element! It is a shame when that gets in the way of real talent, but then again, ultimately is down to the public vote.

I have no problem with it being down to the public vote if they scrap the final showdown. The idea is for the act which performs best in the final showdown to progress and that was clearly Lucie. No point having it otherwise.

And yet again it happens. It goes to deadlock because Louis saves Lloyd because he knows it will mean that he can get rid of him at a later stage. Jamie was far better in the sing off.

I totally agree, Jamie was much better.
Louis is just a very irritating man.

Louis made it clear he would be voting to send Jamie home even before the sing off had begun.

A real shame to see Jamie go. I still think he will be able to have a better career and stay in singing because of the show. Lloyd is a very lovely boy, but vocally he was not as impressive on the night.

John and Edward have finally been eliminated. Was a shock Lloyd wasn't in the bottom two this week.

Aw.. John and Edward have left... and so goes the interest of the whole show.

John and Edward are not entertaining or funny don't get me wrong... but there's something novelty about them... much like Vanilla Ice, which gave the X Factor that something...

Kind of agree that Lloyd deserved to go before them.

They reminded me of Bros, so I'm glad they're gone and let Lloyd be the next, still a bit disappointed Jamie is gone.
