LIVE Season Finale, Part 1 of 2 - Recap

The X Factor Final begins and for Josh Krajcik, Melanie Amaro and Chris Rene, it is the most important moment of their lives. Steve Jones comes out and welcomes everyone and introduces the judges and the Final Three. L.A. says that he is feeling great and is very proud of everyone. Nicole says that she gives all the love and support to all of them. Paula says that she is proud of everyone. Simon says that it is going to be the closest Final ever. Steve says that they are going to be performing twice.

First up for the night is Josh Krajcik. He comes out and sings. Alanis Morrisette comes out and joins him on stage. They sing together. Afterward, Alanis says that it was a lot of fun to do a duet with him. L.A. says that it was just a natural paring. Paula says that it was a great way to open it up. She says that he held his own and kept his integrity. Simon says that he thought that Josh was a little bit intimidated at first, but says that it was an 8/10. Nicole says that it was a sign of a great artist is to recognize the talent.

Chris Rene is next and L.A. says that he is 8 months sober. Chris comes out and sings. Avril Levine comes out and joins Chris on stage. They sing together. Afterward, Avril says that Chris is amazing and says that it was a good singer. Nicole says that it was a little shaky in the beginning, but his energy was infectious. Paula says that this competition isn’t about having note to note perfect, it is about the truth. She says that she loves him. Simon says that when he introduced the rap, his joy came out. L.A. says that he looked at home with Avril and says that they complimented each other.

Last up for the first round is Melanie Amaro. She comes out and sings. R. Kelly comes out and joins her on stage. They sing together. Afterward, R. Kelly says that it was unbelievable to work with Melanie and says that she is going to the moon. L.A. says that is one of the most important songs, but says that she got a little bit overshadowed. Nicole says that is the best she could on her key. She put 1,000% into that. Paula says that it is a privilege to sing the song and says that her conviction is amazing. Simon says that was an incredible duet and she didn’t look like a contestant on the stage, but an established performer.

Cirque Du Soleil performs on stage and performs “Immortal”. The Final Three come out and sing together with the dancers.

Josh Krajicik is up for the beginning of the second round and he says that he has been in music all his life and for so many years, he was scraping by. He says that it feels like his time and says that he needs to make it his tonight. He comes out and sings “At Last”. Afterward, L.A. says that he looked at home and says that he is such a rock star. Paula says that he is wonderful and says that he owned the stage. Simon says that the fact that he took the risk, it made it great. He says that it is going to be a close call. Nicole says that he has shown that he can deliver.

Chris Rene is up next and he says he can’t believe that he is there. He says that music has saved his life and says that it is unreal and unheard of to have him in the competition. He says that he wants to give his son a life that is great. He comes out and sings “Young Homie” again for the third time in the competition. Afterward, Nicole says that they all have a purpose in life and says that it is his anthem. Paula says that she is magic and says that he makes everyone fall in love with him. Simon says that was his $5 Million song. He says that he has stuck to his deal and says that he is a brilliant performer. L.A. says that he has never pulled himself into a song and says that he is proud.

Last of the night is Melanie Amaro. She remembers when she got a no from them and how Simon came back into the competition. She says that she came out with her accent and says that she is not hiding. Melanie says that this is the only time to do this. She comes out and sings. Afterward, L.A. says that is the Melanie that he knows and says that was a $50 Million song. Nicole gets emotional and says that she made her feel good and says that was great. Paula says that she delivered a stellar performance. Simon says that he is proud of what she did and says that she proved that the best come from her. That is it for the performances for the night. Now for America to vote!
