Each judge will be mentoring a different class of singer(s), right ?!

Since each judge wants to win, wouldn't they "I have to say no" to anyone who is great but singing for a different class ??

The judges don't find out what section of the competition they will be mentoring until all the auditions and bootcamp have taken place. Once they are just seven or eight left in the competition for each section the judges then find out which section they will be mentoring.

Each judge then picks either three or four to take through to the live finals. At the end of each show the public vote and the two acts with the least amount of votes then have to perform again and then the judges each decide who to save. If the judges votes are split equally then it goes back to the public vote.

If a judge has one of their own acts in the bottom two they always vote to save them where they are better or not. It only really becomes interesting if a judge has two acts in the bottom two and have to choice between them. Usually the judges with no acts in the bottom two have the real power who goes or stays.
