• Braga stands on the 'Threshold' |
As for "Threshold," it moves into the vacated Tuesday slot on Nov. 22, and for executive producer Brannon Braga, who spent most of his career working in "Star Trek" series and movies, it's make or break time for his first post-"Trek" project.
"I'm optimistic," he says, "very excited. Look, it's a really big opportunity for us to increase our ratings, but it's a risky thing to move a show to a different night. But I'd much rather take a gamble on moving to Tuesdays than staying where we were. We're really hoping that people know it airs this coming Tuesday.
"We're hoping that the people who have been consistently watching are going to move with us, but that we'll also get some new eyeballs. If that happens, we'll be all right. But look, I can't make any excuses. 'Ghost Whisperer,' 'Numb3rs,' now 'Close to Home,' they're doing just fine on Friday."
